R34 Gtt Tiptronic Auto > S1 Rb25det?

Hey, I dont really visit this place much, and I searched, but I couldnt find anything

Do many people here put the R34 GTT tiptronic boxes in to older skylines?

I have a VL, with a series 1 RB25det, series 1 R33 ECU (green label).

I still have the original Jatco 4N71B (stock RB30 auto box), and I wanna stay auto. I figured the R34 box would be a good fit.

I want to know whats the deal with the ECU. The R34 tiptronics have their own ECUs dont they? Will I have to move to an after market ECU?

Also, I'm certainly no auto electrician, so forgive me if my wording isnt right on some things here. I just want to figure out how hard this conversion would be.

If I could be linked to threads on the same subject, that would be helpful too, thanks.

Apparently the R34 has a non-tiptronic 5 speed auto aswell .... I didnt even know that.

Thats definitly an option too then.

Apparrently I am wrong! The R34 only had 4 speed autos.

R33 came out with a five speed though ....... So I assume that would be even easier to fit.

i would track down the 5speed, pretty sure HPI put one behind an RB26.
