king springs & bilstein shocks. The kit I got is basically a copy of the Sydneykid group buy that was on here awhile ago apart from the king springs instead of whiteline springs. I got it all from Dan at Elite Racing Developments. Have a look on SAUqld if you want to get in contact with him.

Cheers for all the comment guys.

Car looks good, I like the hight. Yeah my vote goes to bilsteins. Quadrant suspentions set up alot of the 32\33\34 GTR's that do the targa Tasmania, so there always worth a chat to if you want Bilsteins.

Ps the best mod I ever did to my GTR was to buy a $700 carolla. Worked out that due to running costs of the GTR the carolla payed for it's self after 3 months. Plus now my car is always clean and there are no more dints from the shops!

Beelzebub, im PM'd SK looks like im heading down the same path as you, can you tell me much it all set you back? did SK order the gear for you or you got the people at ERD to organize it all and install it? If your dont want to disclose this info on here can you PM me please.

Dan at ERD got all my gear for me. Had a problem with getting the rear shocks as they were back ordered so had to wait for more to be made. Chuck him a pm on here or on SAUqld and I'm sure he'll be happy to help.

Dad and I installed it. Its fairly simple so to do just read all the instructions and double check everything lol. It took us from 8 - 6ish on Saturday and then from 9ish - 12 on sunday to get everything fitted up properly. If your not confident doing it yourself Dan can fit it aswell or any other suspension place really.

Good luck with it let us know how you go :(

Apart from the fuel consumption I think they're an awesome daily lol :P I drive through the mountains to get to work in the mornings so its always entertaining

Great pictures Colin, looks good ay, and how is the handling now, have you pushed it into some corners yet?

Whitey

Handling is fantastic. Its not too firm so its still comfortable as a daily driver and it feels so much more responsive now. On the stock suspension the car had a bit of body roll and you could feel it wallowing around in the corners. Now its just really tight and level all the way through. I haven't gotten close to the limit driving it yet but its fantastic

I'm really pleased how it all turned out. Would recommend them to anybody looking for an upgrade in their GTR.

Sorry about that. The best way to contact him is through this email [email protected] or go on to SAUqld website which is www.sauqld.com. His username on there is Elite Racing. I can't remember what it is on here.

Cheers

Colin

Hey mate, sent him an email and have been calling him for the past 2 days, is he on holidays or somthing? Would really appreciate it if you could just PM me an approx cost of what it set you back. Did he get you the springs aswell or you sourced them yourself?

    • You Gregged a whole racetrack!?
    • Look for broken wire or bad connector at the motor. Might not be it, but is worth starting there, as it is easy.
    • Hi everyone, I’m having an issue with my R32 GT-R. Sometimes, when the car goes over a bump or experiences some vibration, the 4WD warning light comes on the dashboard. When I check the code from the control unit in the trunk, it shows Code 19 – ETS Motor. However, everything seems to be working fine — if I turn off the engine and restart the car, the light goes away and everything functions normally. Has anyone experienced this before? Where should I start troubleshooting this issue? Thanks in advance!
    • I'm back from the dyno - again! I went looking for someone who knew LS's and had a roller dyno, to see how it shaped up compared to everything else and confirm the powerband really is peaking where Mr Mamo says it should. TLDR: The dyno result I got this time definitely had the shape of how it feels on the road and finally 'makes sense'. Also we had a bit more time to play with timing on the dyno, it turns out the common practice in LS is to lower the timing around peak torque and restore it to max after. So given a car was on the dyno and mostly dialled in already, it was time for tweaking. Luis at APS is definitely knowledgable when it came to this and had overlays ready to go and was happy to share. If you map out your cylinder airmass you start seeing graphs that look a LOT like the engine's torque curve. The good thing also is if you map out your timing curve when you're avoiding knock... this curve very much looks like the inverse of the airmass curve. The result? Well it's another 10.7kw/14hp kw from where I drove it in at. Pretty much everywhere, too. As to how much this car actually makes in Hub Dyno numbers, American Dyno numbers, or Mainline dyno numbers, I say I don't know and it's gone up ~25kw since I started tinkering lol. It IS interesting how the shorter ratio gears I have aren't scaled right on this dyno - 6840RPM is 199KMH, not 175KMH. I have also seen other printouts here with cars with less mods at much higher "kmh" for their RPM due Commodores having 3.45's or longer (!) rear diff ratios maxing out 4th gear which is the 1:1 gear on the T56. Does this matter? No, not really. The real answer is go to the strip and see what it traps, but: I guess I should have gone last Sunday...
