well done mate! all that hard work has paid off. cannot wait to see some vids of this car in action once its run in and re-tuned

I have alot of respect for builds in faraway countries like Ragan here in Peru. There is just no support or technology to do what we do in Australia. I never realised how hard it is for these guys to do up cars untill i went overseas myself and now I am able to see first hand what it is like.

If you have a problem you cannot go down the road and take your parts with you and ask someone who has been there and done that, you cannot get good quality engine work done by picking a engine builder any engine builder at all in Australia can do better work then what I have seen here, everything you do has to be done yourself!! all the homework everything is done yourself and what information you can find on the internet.

Took me a month to find a Timing light that works here, and even then I had to modify it to work properly. So yeah a big thumbs up to you man to be able to build something of this quality and hopefully it will bring you some decent performance as well.

Keep us updated !!!

So true Guilt Toy!!!

U guys have it nice in Aus. where there is lots of quality work, experience, and know how when it comes to designing, fabricating and tuning from the most basic set up to all out machines.

Everything that is done on my car, i do it for myself (Rb26 swap in my C35)basically from knowledge gained on SAU and it's been going pretty good so far..... learned ALOT!.

So thank u guys for dealing with us "outsiders" when we ask stupid questions and display or lack of knowledge :)

So on that note.....

Regan, where did u place the nozzle for the water/meth injection?

Thanks.

umm about 4 inches away from the intake manifold inlet lol saw the meth inejction setup quick eh? its an amazing little thing

I guess u have a hard pipe there instead of the original rubber?

What's the best fuel u guys get there?

I'm going to install a water/meth kit on my 26 as well, as the best fuel available here is 95, so i contemplating on the best spot to place the nozzle.

i wish no weve only got biodiesel down here natural gas i hope 1 day theyll bring e85 or e100 id be estatic and with my 1300cc injectors i tihnk ill be able to use it no problem, yea brazil has had ethanol for a long long time now i think they were 1 of the first countries to use it

thats a shame I have wondered if ethanol was being used all across South America

and yes would definately be able to make some nice numbers with those 1300's and Eth!

How far is it to brazil from where you live?

Looks amazing!

Great to see another R33 with that non-run-of-the-mill front bumper on it :woot: I love mine!

How do you get around not having front indicators? Might cause a bit of mess if someone doesnt see the side ones!

    • Working through possible solutions of converting my mechanical speedo.    Anyone know what type of speedo sensor the factory r34 gtr getrag has ? what the output is ? I assume its not a VSS and more a voltage like earlier speedo sensors ? Can an ECU read it ?

    • I can get more photos of it here soon and I plan to make a thread detailing the process. I received the car this way and it sorely needs refinishing. That is probably the most appealing photo of it. Up close it is fading, cracked, and needs to be re-glued. Depending on their condition I'm on the fence between refinishing or making a new set.  Another angle hiding the pimples and razor pumps
    • According to this thread the RS4V with build plate RC40 comes with the R200 diff @ 4.083 ratio as well (mine has said RC40 denotation). We may need to check if the axle stubs are the same pattern as well. The auto subframes have longer axles. However I think yours being a later Series 2 as well, we should have the same bolt pattern for the diff stubs. Unless your upgraded rear also has upgraded axles. Either way, I would not be opposed to pulling the covers to check so I can inspect that  fancy rear core  Also I don't have HICAS. I don't believe that should change things but I hope the people here with heaps more experience than me can correct me if I'm wrong   Let me know if you want to attempt to make this work and I can get some pictures of mine from under the car.
    • It's not that straightforward. For example I have had this code because my ignitor/power transistor wires were unplugged. It knows something is wrong but has no idea what it means. If you want to actually diagnose this I recommend following the service manual flowchart for code 21. Ohm out the harness, coilpacks, inspect the ECU, etc. And again, it's entirely possible for there to be no problem at all but if you're running a different coilpack it'll trigger the code because it doesn't like what it sees.
