Little Help Deciding On Turbo-back Exhaust

Recommended Posts

Hey all,

Got a 33 GTST series 2.

Want to get a turbo back exhaust. Mild steel / Stainless steel not sure?

Only looking at running exhaust, front mount and boost controller. Not looking at building a 10 second car.

Don't want it to be majorly loud.. want to keep it pretty tame (exhaust noise).

Been told to run a 3" with hi flow cat, couple of hot dogs to keep it quiet and a oval style muffler (don't want a cannon, cant stand them).

Ideas anyone? Also, know any decent exhaust shops? My mate got his done through Teddy @ Fast Fit Cranny and loves it. Any where else?

Much appreciated! Cheers,

Jay

If you can find yourself a Kakimoto, Veilside or Nismo, oval shape muffler, go for it.

Or you could get a custom made ones thought your mechanic and get them to sound test it.

Its not that loud, it has a really nice sound to it. Had it on my old r33 but that had a Garrett GT2835R turbo on it which would change the sound a tiny bit.

Nice nice, sounds tuff!

Any 3 inch system will suit you well. The sound of it is subjective to opinion...different mufflers for different people, alot of people will tell you they have the best sounding blah blah. Just get something 3 inch and avoid the cheap dump pipes like the plague.

so true with the dump pipes. id recommend a custom made one thats what i went with and couldn't be happier.
