h'ok people. im doing a shoot with a mate tomorrow (as in, monday), were thinking of something industrial,

so i need ideas/locations of abandoned/disused industrial sites or similiar that are relatively easy to access and mostly free from security. the only ones i can think of are either long gone, overused, or just plain boring.

so, anyone?

so, anyone?

try port adelaide woolshed areas : ie: Crozier st

or

Paracombe cold stores on Paracombe road,

Get into the old clipsal premises?

or the carpark of 101 Cavan road. its the back of the Gerard factories. gates should be open 7-6

they are my best ideas for 8am

lol. dont like my chances of fitting that under my guards.

this is a 10 +12 on the front;

and rear;

looks good, but utterly useless. rear guards were sitting properly on the tyre, i had to jack it up to get the card in there.

ill probably go for 9 +15 all round, gives me an extra 10mm or so of clearance all round to play with the alignment (ie, less camber)

Weak as, S14s have huge guards. The pic of your fronts is nearly spot on, just needs less tyre.

Yeah, thought I saw some dude on ns running 18x10+12 AVS Model 5's with a 235/40 all round a like 0 camber with a slight roll on the guards. Looked mint

does anyone down south have a heat gun i can borrow for an hour or so?

gotta finish pulling off that bluey green pin stripping on the side of the car.

cheers

use wax and grease remover, soak it on a rag they come right off , then rewax the car

heat gun can bubbles your paint off

Had a good laugh about 10 minutes ago. Not really funny, but the circumstances leading up to it ... and the karma ... was definitely funny.

Had some mid 40yo guy in a new BMW 650 'supercar' trying to encourage me to race him just on the southern side of the city. Had some bimbo blonde in the passenger seat, and he had the whole 'chewing gum' thing going on. First set of lights I pull up next to him, he takes a long hard stare, then when the lights go green he rockets off occupying both lanes and breaking the speed limit easily. Next set of lights, again I pull up next to him, and he's now trashing my car in front of the bimbo, using words like "hoon" and "jap crap". Lights go green and again he rockets off, and I cruise off again obeying the speed limit. Next set of lights I'm next to him again (why the rush? lol) and this time he's creeping the car forward in 'hop' motions and staring at me. Then the lights for cars to turn right only go green, but he rockets off ... straight into a Falcon! 'Bang' ... sucked in!

I cruised around the crash and pull over. I'm giving my details to the innocent party for their claim, whilst laughing at the BMW (small dick) idiot the whole time. He is a mix of embarassment and anger (prob at me laughing at him). It was with great pleasure I say to him "So who's the hoon?" before walking back to my car and driving off! Classic karma!

Ahhh poetic justice. I wish I could have seen it ;D

Mate, words cannot describe how f**king hilarious it was. I couldn't stop laughing. Still chuckling now. Explained to the guy who got hit, why I was laughing, and he agreed "so it was karma then eh? Too bad I got in his way". Yeah too bad for him, but his car is still driveable I'm sure ... the BMW was leaking coolant all over the place. :(

lol what a turd

typical mid life crisis behavour eh.... buy an expensive car, get the token blonde and look down upon everyone else (because it makes you feel better, right?) lol... reminds me of the dude in F&F with the ferrari - same sorta bad attitude

    • Let's be honest, most of the people designing parts like the above, aren't engineers. Sometimes they come from disciplines that gives them more qualitative feel for design than quantitive, however, plenty of them have just picked up a license to Fusion and started making things. And that's the honest part about the majority of these guys making parts like that, they don't have huge R&D teams and heaps of time or experience working out the numbers on it. Shit, most smaller teams that do have real engineers still roll with "yeah, it should be okay, and does the job, let's make them and just see"...   The smaller guys like KiwiCNC, aren't the likes of Bosch etc with proper engineering procedures, and oversights, and sign off. As such, it's why they can produce a product to market a lot quicker, but it always comes back to, question it all.   I'm still not a fan of that bolt on piece. Why not just machine it all in one go? With the right design it's possible. The only reason I can see is if they want different heights/length for the tie rod to bolt to. And if they have the cncs themselves,they can easily offer that exact feature, and just machine it all in one go.
    • The roof is wrapped
    • This is how I last did this when I had a master cylinder fail and introduce air. Bleed before first stage, go oh shit through first stage, bleed at end of first stage, go oh shit through second stage, bleed at end of second stage, go oh shit through third stage, bleed at end of third stage, go oh shit through fourth stage, bleed at lunch, go oh shit through fifth stage, bleed at end of fifth stage, go oh shit through sixth stage....you get the idea. It did come good in the end. My Topdon scan tool can bleed the HY51 and V37, but it doesn't have a consult connector and I don't have an R34 to check that on. I think finding a tool in an Australian workshop other than Nissan that can bleed an R34 will be like rocking horse poo. No way will a generic ODB tool do it.
    • Hmm. Perhaps not the same engineers. The OE Nissan engineers did not forsee a future with spacers pushing the tie rod force application further away from the steering arm and creating that torque. The failures are happening since the advent of those things, and some 30 years after they designed the uprights. So latent casting deficiencies, 30+ yrs of wear and tear, + unexpected usage could quite easily = unforeseen failure. Meanwhile, the engineers who are designing the billet CNC or fabricated uprights are also designing, for the same parts makers, the correction tie rod ends. And they are designing and building these with motorsport (or, at the very least, the meth addled antics of drifters) in mind. So I would hope (in fact, I would expect) that their design work included the offset of that steering force. Doesn't mean that it is not totally valid to ask the question of them, before committing $$.
    • The downside of this is when you try to track the car, as soon as you hit ABS you get introduced to a unbled system. I want to avoid this. I do not want to bleed/flush/jack up the car twice just to bleed the f**kin car.
