That would be fantastic Rubz :).

Only thing is right now, Its really hit and miss problem, and does it at the weirdest of times, I really wish it'd just sh!t its dacks so I can replace it and be done with it :P

Ummm, I'll get back to you Rubz, whats it worth?

Cheers man, I'll see what they are brand new but Rubz PM me what your chasing?

This is ofcourse, if the cas is on its way out - Pretty sure you can't test them either if the problem is intermittent (sp) which is a pain.

what exactly is not clearing???????????

i thought Dale said it would clear with no problems...................... :P

AFAIK, they were bolt in items on the RB25's, but they were also designed for RB25's in R33's not R32's. I suspect that adrian will be using the RB20 mounts (the metal engine side bracket) on his RB25 because they run the angled engine mount unlike the R33 that have the flat horizontal mounts. If he swapped the cross member over to a R33 one then that theory goes out the window.

Speaking of RB20 mounts, have you still got those mounts Craig?

so if i high mount it will i need a custom cross over pipe? will it fit with the stock one in place?

Just get one of those greddy copy intakes, you can pick them up for around $300 now and they aren;t as bad as they were when they first came out. The one i ahve is as good as an actual greddy manifold (well the pictures i have seen of them anyway)

Sounds just like an AFM proble

I had similar symptoms till I replaced my AFM's with some reconnect ones. Pete at PLMS can recondition the AFM's if it turns out to be them..

-D

I just left a thing on your FB but I'll post here,

Ummm, every now and then my car will drop idle and bounce round for a few seconds and then idle and drive fine, then other times i'll be cruising at whatever speed/RPM and it'll do the same similar thing just drop like all power etc for a few seconds and then act and drive fine.

In my old VLCT, I experianced the same thing with my RB30ET... Could be AFM's too :\

How much boost is your rig running?

hey champ iam running 15psi flat no tapering on this tune stock is around 6psi on xr6t's mine is prolly one of the lowest powered modified units around the s.a streets i gotta keep it useable due to it being a family wagon :P wench has to drive it daily

mind u i did put my name down to go to the boostworx dyno day but as u guys would know it got postponed(any one know when this will now be?) mines no dyno queen tho cause i got the hi stall and that soaks up a few rwkw but high numbers dont mean much to me iam after the lowest number 1/4 mile is where i like to play.

any of u blokes head to the strip regually?

btw that lala time is very respectable champ well done is urs 4wd?

im gonna have another crack at fitting this ass of a thing. i really wanna stay low mount..

worst comes to worst ill get 6boost to make a manifold that fits it!

but thats once i have tried everything..

Had it out Friday night for a hills cruise actually. I'd be keen for a meet up in the hills, we don't really do any big meet ups anymore because of the heat from the cops, but more than happy to hit the hills in a smallish group.

the low mount 6boost mount manifold will NOT allow u to use your crossover pipe as the runners will be too high (higher than the rocker covers) being a tuned length design, and u will defiantly have to machine the engine mounts a little to clear the compressor housing and have a custom intake and dump pipe made up

as Dale said u will need either a Greddy style plenum or any front facing plenum or a modified standard one, which will be better as u will use less intercooler piping

    • You just need to remove the compressor housing, not the entire turbo. I would not be drilling and tapping anything with the housing still on anyways.
    • So, I put my boat on a boat. First of all, I'm going to come out and say it. Why is Tasmania not considered a holy goal, an apex that all road-legal modified cars go to, to experience? This place is an absolute wonderland of titanic proportions. If people are already getting club runs for once in a lifetime 30 person cruises to Tassy then I've never seemed to see it. It is like someone replaced the entire place with an idyllic wonderland for cars, and all of the people living there with paid actors who are kind, humble, and friendly. Dear god. After doing a lap of almost all of the place I've found that it's a great way to find out all of the little things that the car isn't doing quite right and a great way to figure it all out. All in all, I drove for 4 hours a day for a week and nothing broke. I didn't even need to open the engine bay. This is by all means a great success, but it has left me with a list of things to potentially address. I also now have a 3D printed wheel fitment tool which annoyingly hasn't got any threads in it to actually assemble it. I might be able to tape it together to check the sizing I actually want to use, but it'll likely involving pulling the shocks out to properly measure travel at least at the front, and probably raise the car while I'm at it, at least in the rear. I scraped on quite a few things and I'm not sure how else to go about it. I was taking anything with a bump at what felt like 89 degree angles. And address those 10 other tasks. And wash the car. God damn it is dirty. And somehow, the weather was perfect the entire time - And because I was on the top of Mt Wellington it turns out it was very much about to freeze up there. I did something I typically never do and took some photos up there in what must have been -10 and the foggy felt like suspended ice, rather than mere fog. If you own a car in Australia, you owe it to yourself to do it.
    • Damn that was hilarious, and a bit embarrassing for skylines in general 😂 vintage car life ey. That R33 really stomped. Pretty entertaining stuff
    • Hi, I have a r32 gtr transmission. Does any of you guys have an idea how much power it will hold with the billet center plate and stock gearset? At what power level and use did yours brake with or without billet plate? Thanks, Oystein Lovik
    • Saw this replica police car based on a Mitsubishi Starion XX parked next to a 'police box' (it's literally a box) in Hirohata, Himeji City in Hyogo prefecture the other day. It's owned by Morii-san who is a local Mitsubishi Starion enthusiast. According to a local radio station blog post, he always wanted to make a police car himself based on ones he saw in his favourite Manga comics.  As it's illegal to modify a car to look like a police car and drive on the road, Morii-san tried many times to get permission from Aboshi police station headquarters nearby. They refused initially by after they got tired of that they granted him permission. However, the car can only be displayed on private property and obviously can't be registered as long as the police livery is present. The car was completed at a cost of 1.5 million yen (US$ 10,000) in addition to the car cost. A location was chosen outside Hirohata Police box where the car can easily been seen from the street. Morii-san has two other Starion road cars, both widebody GSR-VRs.
