Hi im just confused about last nights moto gp, I had a bit of money on casey stoner to win the moto gp.

today i went to the tab to see if i could get a refund on my ticket because of stoners crash on the warm up and then failing to start.

i went on the moto gp web site to see the standings and it says Stoner did not start the race.

i rang the tab and they wont refund my money because stoner "started the race"?????????

i didnt gamble my money away, i just donated it to them.....

actually....the bookie is right. If he left the pits to go to the grid, he came under starter's orders, therefore he started the race.

funnily enough I had a very similar situation yesterday (mechanical failure on warm up lap) and was classified DNF not DNS.

i went on the moto gp web site and it said not started, goes down as not started in his profile.

well i do spend a fair bit of money with the tab, but because of that it has turned me off betting on motorsport.

he crashed out on the warm up lap. you did your dough. no question about it. no way are they giving that money back. sorry but that's how it is. they are 100% in the right.

    • Where is the warning "That this thread is super old"   I just went into a 5 year old thread, went to do a reply, and couldn't see anywhere obvious a warning of it being super old
    • Duncan is correct. Pitwork (and Toyota's own cheap brand "Drive Joy") were primarily created as brands to sell other manufacturers car parts. It would be weird if Nissan sold parts for Toyota vehicles with a Nissan logo on it, so they created Pitwork to sell parts for other brans Toyota, Honda etc. They are not the same as Nissan genuine parts, although they *do* meet Nissan's standards for replacement parts. They aren't supposed to be a substitute for genuine parts, but a cheaper alternative that is better than Ebay fake parts from you-know-where.

    • I _think_ that one has a christmas tree or some other retainer spike into a hole in that panel under it. Come in under it with thin scredrivers and just pry it gently up. If you rip the ears off the retainer pin....so what? Just stick it back down after with a bit of race tape and carry on with life.
