Only thing I still need to get is the roll cage and then it'll be down to suspension upgrades and engine conversion for end of next year

I'm subscribed to this thread. I like your idea mate...but I'm just worried that all that 'mixing and matching' of bodykit parts will make the car look wierd...I've never mix and matched parts before so I don't know but fingers cross it will look nice. You should have gone Do Luck front bar or 400R front bar...as all the other areas are a bit 'extreme' and yet the GTR front bar is probably going to look to tamed for the rest of the car.

However, it's coming along nicely mate...good luck with everything...

Damn....Daniel, you're going full ball with this, aren't you...make sure you pace yourself...modifying your car too quickly can cost a shitload and ruin your love for your car as you'll get bored when it's all done and you've driven it around a few months...slowly slowly mate...if your car is a GTS4 - make sure you Rb26DET and turbo kit the f**kaah! :(

This is Stage 1 about to be complete Kevin, then yes most likely RB26 will get dropped in end of next year or 2011 so project will be continuing...then possibly onto a drift car after so I wont get bored lol

Kevin only reason I had the Do Luck skirts was to put the carbon lip on them, you'll see what I mean when its done...and the 400R Rear Bar is just so its a bit lower at the back end of the car

mate, it's going to rock...make sure you pace yourself.

All good don't worry funding will run out after a while and I'll have to save up again so it won't be done in a hurry. Havent seen any pics of your car at all Kevin...could you PM me yours wouldnt mind checking it out as I see your post a fair bit I'm sure your well into your build?

hi mate, my gtr is at the workshop getting tuned with new performance mods. Cosmetically, it is just a r33 gtr vspec with a genuine Nismo 400r front bar, that's it. Doesn't stand out too much. I'm actually doing the opposite to you, I am after a stealthy look. have taken off all my badges too.

New pictures of car before and after shots, and also how the colour varies in different lights.

Other pics will be up end of the week once car has been fitted and new wheels and parts installed

Its like a copper bronze, cause Top Secrets a bit to light...but as i said under different light it looks totally different, cant wait to see what it looks like when its out of the booth on the road though cause that'll be the true colour for it

Nice colour choice...whether it's pretty or not, one thing is I've never seen another Skyline with this colour on the roads!

You do realise that after the paint dries properly, it will slightly change and then set - this will be it's actual colour thereafter.

Remember to give it good drying time mate...there's no rush...I suppose.

It will be sitting in the shop for a week before it comes out into the sun, it already sat in highfill for a week after that was done...gives the paint time to harden.

This is also why i went to DNA Paints to get something different from the normal, black, white, silver, red, blue, green, orange, purple sort of colours, at least u'll know u spotted me on the roads, most likely nepean or prinny hwy or in sth east area.

Yeah mate...cannot wait...you'll be noticeable that's for sure.

    • Input shaft bearing. They all do it. There is always rollover noise in Nissan boxes - particularly the big box. Don't worry about it unless it gets really growly.
    • For once a good news  It needed to be adjusted by that one nut and it is ok  At least something was easy But thank you very much for help. But a small issue is now(gearbox) that when the car is stationary you can hear "clinking" from gearbox so some of the bearing is 100% not that happy... It goes away once you push clutch so it is 100% gearbox. Just if you know...what that bearing could be? It sounding like "spun bearing" but it is louder.
    • Yeah, that's fine**. But the numbers you came up with are just wrong. Try it for yourself. Put in any voltage from the possible range and see what result you get. You get nonsense. ** When I say "fine", I mean, it's still shit. The very simple linear formula (slope & intercept) is shit for a sensor with a non-linear response. This is the curve, from your data above. Look at the CURVE! It's only really linear between about 30 and 90 °C. And if you used only that range to define a curve, it would be great. But you would go more and more wrong as you went to higher temps. And that is why the slope & intercept found when you use 50 and 150 as the end points is so bad halfway between those points. The real curve is a long way below the linear curve which just zips straight between the end points, like this one. You could probably use the same slope and a lower intercept, to move that straight line down, and spread the error out. But you would 5-10°C off in a lot of places. You'd need to say what temperature range you really wanted to be most right - say, 100 to 130, and plop the line closest to teh real curve in that region, which would make it quite wrong down at the lower temperatures. Let me just say that HPTuners are not being realistic in only allowing for a simple linear curve.
    • I feel I should re-iterate. The above picture is the only option available in the software and the blurb from HP Tuners I quoted earlier is the only way to add data to it and that's the description they offer as to how to figure it out. The only fields available is the blank box after (Input/ ) and the box right before = Output. Those are the only numbers that can be entered.
    • No, your formula is arse backwards. Mine is totally different to yours, and is the one I said was bang on at 50 and 150. I'll put your data into Excel (actually it already is, chart it and fit a linear fit to it, aiming to make it evenly wrong across the whole span. But not now. Other things to do first.
