I think the commentator did ok. It's pretty hard doing it solo and trying to think of stuff to say all the time. I'm sure alot of us on here could not do a better job.

That said, I was only there on the Saturday and I can see how listening to 2 days of the one voice and get a bit tiresome.

Also, the times he called out I thought was good. Everytime a car went over the line he would call out the driver name and lap time.

It was easy to know who was doing what, and how far off their PB and all.

Was also loving the ferocity of the Pulse racing Evo coming out of the final turn, it was on the gas so much earlier than the other cars. Thing has some serious punch!

Yeah, how committed did Glenney wana be both the Pulse Evo and STi on Turn 12!!... awesome stuff!

Well fact is Cyber made 475 awhp on Friday night at 1.2 bar. They ran it at 1.6 on Saturday to set that time. So 600 would be closer?

Interestingly we compared a bit of data with some other teams and one fun fact was Berry's car was 20klm/h up on Sierra car at the end of the straight. Shows how

much downforce/drag that SS car has!

Cyber car weighs 1125, and creates 1250lg of dowforce. Yes, you read that right. They said under that car is really something special!

:-))

what's 1250lg of downforces?

Impressive commitment. I had my doubts but Russ made it happen and pulled it off. Minor miracle.

Roy yes a relaxing weekend for the Slot Car. Still waiting for custom dry sump pump. We will be in the mix next year.

The weather held off nicely and a massive weekend.

That VQ sits in there nicely!

Tried to find you to say Gday but didnt see you

My buddy Elvin got that gig. Bloody legend. Big dogleg drive out to Marks late thursday night, somehow wrangled the short engine into his wagon (he's 50kg wringing wet and no engine crane), drove through the night to get the short to us by 10am. Farkin LEGEND!

that is an effort! I struggle with RB cranks and im 80kg lol

***awaits Harry to make a spelling mistake*** :(

I meant kg of downforce you flogger. The L is beside the K.

KOK

Hey Ben, did the Tilton Evo end up making it to the track?

I heard some rumours of a ridiculous power to weight ratio of that thing!

hehe

my real question is does that mean 1250 kg total on the scales while in a windtunnel? So 1250-1125=125kg of actual downforce?

gimme 5 bags of cement, a few pies and a f**k load of coke and hookers. You can keep your fancy aero :(

They were both there!! Garth did a 1:37:05.... The new on isnt finished yet but they are going to town on it now :(

Harry, yes. From our conversation with Tarzan, he said the car can drive upside down, F1 style. Upside farking down!

And yes, the Tilton car was there, but hobbled by massive understeer from what I saw. :ermm:

I wouldn't want to be a front tyre on that car. A shame as I too had heard some awesome numbers.

The 2nd car was on display, and looks to be much more serious :(

A shame too that the ex Supercars didn't make a better show of it. Looks like 38/39 is about the limit for a Supercar chassis on R comps. I had high hopes that they've give a bit of a hurry up to the front runners!

Jess, I heard something about 1100HP and 1125kg is this true? If so I want a go :(

HAHA Sounds like Kosta :ermm: The new car is going to be nuts and it needs to be with the competition they saw on the weekend!

Awesome World Time Attack is now being talked about on Top Gear Oz!

    • Hi...so a "development" here aswell The swap is "done" and car went "test drive" BUT it seems the clutch(maybe gearbox?) is a little bit sad? I bought this clutch kit https://justjap.com/products/xtreme-heavy-duty-organic-clutch-flywheel-kit-nissan-skyline-r31-r32-r33-push-type "Problem" is that the first gear is hard to put into and it seems that the clutch is not disengaged. It was not the problem with the old clutch...(or like sometime the first gear would not get as easy specialy when the fluid was cold) So? Can it be like...bad "install" or is the clutch wrong ((it should not have been) i done research to get the right one) Or is this "normal" with new clutch and needs to be break in?
    • @Duncan I can try  and thanks i did not thought about VIN and part numbers for 33/34. @GTSBoy yeah it looks like iam gonna do that
    • Forgot to include this but this is the mid section of my steering rack that looks like it has a thread/can be turned with that notch mentioned in the post:
    • Hey everyone, Wanted to pick some brains about this issue I'm having with rebuilding my 33 rack (PN is 49001-19U05). All of the tutorials/videos I've seen online are either R34 or S Chassis racks which seem to be pretty straightforward to disassemble but this process doesnt carry over to my rack. Few of the key differences that I've noted The pinion shaft on the other racks bolt on with 3 torx bolts: Whereas my rack bolts on with 2 allen head bolts: These changes are pretty inconsequential but the main difference is how you pull the actual rack out of the housing. The other skyline/s chassis racks can be taken out by tapping the rack out of the body with a socket and it just slides right out. I'm unable to do that with my rack because there's a hard stop at the end that doesn't let the seal/shaft be tapped out. Can also see a difference in the other end of the rack where mine has a notch that looks like you're able to use a big wrench to unthread 2 halves of the rack whereas the other racks are just kinda set in with a punch. My rack: Other racks: TLDR; Wanted to know if anyone has rebuilt this specific model of steering rack for the R33 and if there were any steps to getting it done easier or if I should just give this to a professional to get done. Sorry if this post is a bit messy, first one I've done.
    • I would just put EBC back on the "I would not use their stuff" pile and move on.
