Camptron
Hi, Been driving my GTR hard lately and have noticed that the oil pressure has been sitting at about 1bar when in idle and about 3.5bar when at about 3000rpm. Is this healthy? What oil pressure should a healthy RB26 have? Cheers. Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/296513-oil-pressure-in-my-rb26/ Share on other sites

You'll have to do some converting to bar with this chart: Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/296513-oil-pressure-in-my-rb26/#findComment-4939784 Share on other sites

Yeah sorry, I got a bit confused. I'm going by the stock gauge, it's not in bar :S. What do you think? Does this look healthy? Cheers. Beer Baron
yeah it;s close enough. the stock gauge is pretty crap. very slow to react and not always spot on. buy a 'real' oil pressure gauge and you'll get a shock when you see how quickly and drastically pressure changes with RPM... Moodles2
~2kg/cm2 idling with cold oil ~1kg/cm2 idling with up to temperature oil ~3.5kg/cm2 is about right for 3000rpm Look all healthy to me Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/296513-oil-pressure-in-my-rb26/#findComment-4940854 Share on other sites
Camptron
Awesome! That's some weight lifted off my shoulders. There's nothing worse than driving around paranoid because your not sure if your engines about to blow or not.
