looks good, keep posting what your doing, interested to see how far you take it and what results you get, so far looks really good.

Yup, I'll be doing more when I have more time

hey dude did you order it through carbonfiberfilm? also, how long did it take to get to ya?

Nope, I got it from a relative that lives in the US. It took 10 days for him to post it to me :action-smiley-069:

I tried to get the gear boot surround out today, but I couldn't unplug the ciggy lighter, i even pulled as hard as I could but it wouldn't come apart. Can anyone help? lol

if your gonna do doors inners, then just get real carbon ones

put you should try to put a layer of clear over one of your parts to see if it actually turns out like real carbon, would make it look 100x better imo

For me, I'd prefer my interior in satin than gloss. Yeah, it might look real and all, but I don't wanna get glare from the sun off the gloss :)

bahaha, you bastard, that looks soo awesome.

PS, with the cig lighter, just pull harder lol, itll come out eventually, there are some small bumps moulded into the shape of the plastic part, i ended up damaging mine a little so if i put anything into the lighter socket and then go to take it out, the socket wants to come out with it lol

You mean carbon door inserts (if so from where, i've never seen them), or do you mean carbon door skins? I think comparing a few bucks worth of vinyl to cover the factory carpet door inserts to $1000+ for full door skins is a bit of a stretch...

it kinda looks like wallpaper without the real carbon gloss look...

doesnt look too bad but Id like too see what happens after a few months, especially if it gets parked in the sun a few times on hot days...

Looks great. Does it stick when you apply heat with the heat gun?

What do you mean stick? It does stick to whatever I'm applying on, if I use heat :D

Well, if I want, I can just spray a coat of clear over the top, but like I've said before, I'd rather a satin finish in my interior.

The 3M stuff should endure the hot weather, but I'll keep you guys updated

Also, a coat of clear should make the vinyl more durable, but it doesn't really bother me :P

    • Hello!  i just finished manual swaping my r34 skyline with a r33 rb20de box(RB71C)box  When the car is running it squeaks crazy loud and it was smoking from the gearbox area. The gearbox is fine it was tested. The clutch slave cylinder seems like it doesn't fully releases the clutch. I want to ask if this noise is from the throw out bearing or could it be the clutch assembly or disk att.xFliq87Gzw6kImKBVqDebXkj0fBqymk0JaYeP3_3SlM.mp4
    • A few small updates since the previous post and lessons. I decided to do a little interior light upgrade on the 110. I quite like the iilumo items, even if they're a bit of a premium over other brands. You'll also note the Stedi Fogs, that will go into the S15 fog lights as I needed to match the bulbs since I got the new ones earlier. I hope they fit as the body is quite a bit longer than your normal bulb.  Annoyingly, I managed to trip the fuse, which normally wouldn't be an issue until I located the fuse. I can't say I've ever come across this. I had lucked out that someone nearby had a spare, but oddly enough Toyota dealerships seem to keep this in stock. I ordered some to keep in my stash and as luck would have it, someone else nearby tripped the same fuse so I passed on the favour.  I also did a little service on the 110 ahead of some additional work coming up. It's been annoying that Goleby's stopped carrying this particular HKS filter for the 110, so now I need to keep them on order from Japan. I also took the opportunity to install a bash plate and number plate riser. The plate riser is such a cheap but nice fix to help really tidy up the car. I'm tempted to now also replace my headlights, on this car. Both items were from Project Aero.    I also needed to replace the rear tyres on the 110, and after trying to get it aligned learnt that I need to replace some bushes in the front end, so that's next.  Closing out this update with a nicer picture as always!
