Guy's.....just a heads up for those that wanted a Phenolic runner spacer for the M35.

I have made up enough runners for 9 kits.

Kit includes:

* Phenolic runner spacer

* Mounting bracket for the fuel rail and gearbox dipstick

* All extended plenum bolts and nut

*****you will need to order a runner gasket....I can arrange this as well at your cost*****

PM me for further details.

P.S. I can do the install if wanted in NSW or organise in VIC....again PM me for details.

Can u run the standard engine cover still?

Yes - but it is tight and I believe you will have to extend the studs that hold it on at the front of the engine if you want to screw it down (the rear supports screw in to the plenum, so no issue there.

The mate I quoted earlier has his engine cover on. He has an ARX, not that it should make a difference.

Picked up my spacer last night. Very neat bit of kit. Big thanks to Andy and Craig for organising it at such short notice. I really appreciate it guys.

Oh and Craig.... You could of let your missus go shopping mate! That phone call exchange between you and Andy had me in stitches!!!

Thanks again.

Andrew.

Does this kit can be fitted to the V35?

The kit we made is specific to the VQ25DET motor as the VQ35DE is slightly different.

Send IAMHE77 a PM as he was working on a phenolic spacer for the VQ35DE.

Cheers

Andy

arent the runners in the same spot for all VQ engines? its the plenum on top thats different i think

I know they are very similar but Cam tells me they are slightly different. :D

not so much that they are in a different spot, more that the inlet size is slightly different I think. (I think)

Does this kit can be fitted to the V35?

No. But I can do one that can. :)

We made up a kit for my mate's V35 (GT-8), but you won't be able to close the bonnet if you have a 5/8" plenum spacer. 5/16" you may get away with but I can't be 100% sure.

ahh right!

larger or smaller Cam? if they are larger, potential upgrade for VQ25DET owners?? :domokun:

VQ35de runner spacer is very different to the VQ25det.

Larger overall with significantly larger inlets.

VQ35de spacer is NOT an upgrade for VQ25det.

i meant the whole intake manifold/plenum. there is some volume there that might affect performance in a positive way.

i also might put my spacer on this weekend if i have a whole day

huh....a whole day! 2 hours tops :)

Let me know when you are going to do it and I can save you some time.

Cheers

    • Hi. Sry iam not a mechanic and iam not at the car atm so i dont know 100% but they told they measure those and even try to change those. AFM they have two. Coils are new a they have my old one too. Plugs too. ECU...we have 25 NEO stock and Nistune 25 NEO.   But i dont know if any one those could be the problem and why/if/what can cause this, Only thing they did not check is fuel...but that walbro 255 is new(like 1,5 years)... That fuel pressure gauge idk...but i let them know Any suggestions?   EDIT: how can they know if it is like you say he ECU pull power when it reaches a specific boost level that is too high? Tha car has boost controler
    • Can you clarify what you mean by boost cut, do you mean it misfires both when under load (driving) and when stationary and out of gear? Or does the ECU pull power when it reaches a specific boost level that is too high (boost control issue)? Does it occur at idle with no throttle? When you say "the ECU is OK", what ECU is it and why do you think it is OK? Have you used the NEO ECU, and if so do you have a MAP sensor attached? Same for the AFM, why do you think it is OK? Do you have any way to put a fuel pressure gauge on it (even just a mechanical one between the fuel filter and fuel rail)?
    • Hi.. Just another problem. So maybe you can help. I(my mechanic) done swap from my RB20DE NEO to RB25DET NEO. Everything is OK but we have a boost cut. Coils/Plugs are ok...AFM is ok. ECU is ok. I have Walbro 255 but it "changed" sound few months ago(you can hear it ouside) you did not hear that when it was new(maybe faulty?) Sooo...what now? What can cause this boost cut? It is even when you standing still...
