Stock Turbo Heatshield?

Hi, i had a look through the search function but no luck, was wondering if anyone knew if the standard heat shield keeps temperatures down a bit (meaning external/or near the turbo) opposed to without?

Yup.... Thats why Nissan put it there in the first place.

Yeah. Dont bother taking it off unless your going to replace it. If your changing turbos and it doesnt fit back on, once again. Find a replacement

if your still using the stock manifold it'll fit with just about any turbo, just gotta be creative...

I replaced both the exhaust manifold heat shield and the exhaust housing heat shield with a custom one piece one. Much easier to get on and off and looks a lot better. If you can't get the stock ones to fit just make your own, but definitely worth having on there to keep under bonnet temps down.

First hand experience - I didnt think it would make any difference when I put my hybrid turbo back on. I left it off for a few weeks and noticed the engine bay warmer then usual... I put the heat shield back on and it was much much "cooler".

Best part about it is that it hides the snail pretty well and makes it look stock.
