southo,

i'd be interested to see more specific car models that get stolen from those areas.

i believe the majority of those stolen cars would be hyundai excels or early model commodores because of their ease-of-entry and the fact that stealing is rampant is because of a higher likeliness of delinquent joyriders in those western suburbs. but come to a car that needs abit more than a screwdriver and i reckon those delinquents wouldnt bother...

i'm not going to deny that there is a higher chance of getting your car stolen in the western suburbs - but at the end of the day it is pot luck (badluck for most) for eg. my friends car was broken into at wollstencraft just the other week. It happens and it can happen anywhere. the figures you just posted arent going to stop me from parking my car anywhere though.

Whats this turned into a Westy Bashing thread or something. All the guy was after is a great place it see a Movie.

We have lived in the Bankstown area for over 10 years and never had a problem. In actual fact we get more problems when we travel to the other side.

I'm an ex eastern suburbs boy,,,,(no old bloke) and would never go back.

We do the Bankstown Cinema alot and Bass Hill Drive-In. Monty just loves the Drive In's.

Neil.

NJS let me pull the silver spoon out of your soo called rich ass.

I probably earn ten time more than you and I live in Campbelltown!!!

Big it up for campbelltown.  Any place can be bad. Dont generalise. Campbelltown and the west have heaps of safe parking and nice people.

I grew up in the west and its made me a tough smart person. I dont rely on my snobby attitude to get me through life. The west is great. you should actually point your head straight one day instead of pointing your nose up and come out here. You wont get beaten or raped or whatever.

A year ago on the northside a guy was home invaded and forced to drink acid and he died. if anything goes I wouldnt go to your north side too many shallow arrogant people. Except nick By by hehehe

When did I say I lived in north sydney fool, I live and work in west Sydney so I know first hand how much of a hole it is, also I think it's great you earn over a million dollars a year.

i had my car stripped at Merrylands Hoyts.... now I just park in disabled right near the front door :D hasn't been touched yet!

I know ur gong to melb to watch the flick now, but if you did end up in sydney I'd say go to Reading Cinemas in Auburn. It's a relatively new complex and the screens/sound is really good.

hahahahahahahhaha....

but theres only so much someone can swallow or tolerate

but we must learn to take....our anger and our hate...and settle it straight before it escalates

u can search....but ull never find

u can try to rewind time

but in ur heart and ur minds

we will never die, we are forever alive

when we continue growing...

one day at a time...

Thanks Bleach1 - I'll have to check it out.

I had a whole lot of comments on heaps of cinemas but I lost it and too much trouble to rewrite the whole A4 page again.

Suffice it to say that if you park where there are cameras - such as on the roof you'll be safer.

Or get yourself an alarm with a camera in your car that you can view what happening on your mobile.

Just a comment on Cabramatta which everyone seems to bag out - took a look and

Cabramatta is actually quite safe, just watch out for the all the drug dealing white boys, plenty of street roaming drug dealers, but they just want to sell stolen stuff to you.

To asians, careful the cops are extra racist out there.

Franks,

This is just the Nissan's stolen from those post codes othe the same period

Oh that's cold Ming....you cut me deep :)

Gradenko, try FOX studios too if you're over that part of town (near city, eastern suburbs).

    • ok so if i wanted to go 18's i would go for 8's  in front 30+ or 32+ off set at front and the back 9 would be ok? what offset should i aim for.. then can i do some  hunting for wheel rim choices..    If i get this - will this fit all around: Size: 18 x 8.5 +37 - n what tyres size tyre should i get for front n back?
    • Absolute f*cking nightmare. I had to take breaks constantly, and I was always pissed off when I got home. The line split in Italy on day 2 (we drove from the Netherlands), lol. Driving any narrow European town was... well, sh*t.   Appreciate it man. Here, I'll just drop a favourite from the load I took on Saturday.   I'll update here when things happen with the car, the thing is, with stock power and almost everything chassis-wise taken care of, there really are no problems. 268,000kms now and counting.
    • Ah! I actually managed to snag a lightly used set.... that aren't so suitable for me right now. They don't work on a GTT without some cutting or creative heat moulding. I thought about reselling them myself cause I didn't want to murder them, but it looks like I'm probably going to attempt to murder them/melt them because I may as well. @GTSBoy @PranK can somebody close this thread?
    • Hey mate,  I have a set, one is slightly damaged but wont be noticable once installed.  Shoot me a message if your still after them
    • I couldn't wait But, the black constant tension hose clamps were too thick and there wasn't enough clearance at the T/B and I couldn't get it to seat properly, so I had use a silver one there I also added some 3" silicone over the alloy bit that goes through to hole on the radiator support as it looked like it was sitting on the edge of the hole in the radiator support, I never noticed a rattle or anything, but there was a witness mark It is basicly done, and I can live with the silver hose clamp at the T/B, I will get a black clamp for the head vent though where it is attached to the bulkhead fitting  It never stops...LOL, only issue now with the shock tower brace is it slightly touches the under bonnet liner now, if I leave it it will either wear some paint off the brace where it touches, or damage the liner, so I removed the liner to see what I have to work with, with the liner removed I have about 20mm of clearance, but sadly the middle part of the underside of the bonnet is only dusted with paint and looks crap, so I cannot have that, but.... as I have a roll of Carbuilders premium under bonnet insulation in the garage laying around that is only 5.5mm thick (we were going to use it on the boys Patrol, but he crashed the front of it a few months and it was written off, hence why he now drives my old Honda Accord Euro), I'll use the OEM liner as a template and get the Carbuilders stuff fitted up to cover that dusted paint up
