Recently i've built and fitted an RB26/30 to my 32GTR. This engine is what came out of that 32.

There is a strange history with this engine. Short verison. I'd say it's cracked a piston at some point and been rebuilt in Australia. Its got forged pistons, but standard rods. It also has ACL bearings which are the standard size, which is why i think its been rebuilt in Aus- pics to follow.

It supposedly had Tomei poncams fitted by a VERY reputable workshop, but having looked at them and measured them today, i reckon they're standard.

That said it was putting out some decent power with N1 turbo's. 333kW

It's got Greddy cam gears

Had some porting performed on inlet, unsure of ex, but i didn't really look.

This engine would still be in my GTR, had it not been for me going around a corner too fast with a very low fuel level. Car coughed a few times, i thought woops fuel is really low, be careful. I was on the way to get fuel at the time and 600meters from the servo:(

Anyway....after a few km's later she started to tick intermittently, started to get steady tick and get louder, i turned it off and had it towed to the workshop.

turns out, number 1 big-end has had some degradation. The rest are fine, no movement. Crank is fine.

Sump has trap doors!!

So for sale is the bare engine.

Will include inlet plenum, throttle bodies, Greddy cam gears, gates timing belt (changed a few thousand km's ago) idler and tensioner changed at same time as belt,

head, cams(whatever they are)

The diff has been removed from it's casing.

I used the majority of the other bits to complete my 26/30.

no injectors. nothing on hot side.

So if you want a engine in reasonable nick, add some bearings and rods and you've got a goer.!

I have no info on the water or oil pump, so i'd say they're standard.

The lot $2000.

This is me trying to show the ACL logo and the fact it says standard size- hard to see

really bad pic, my finger is holding open one of the traps doors.

I also have the N1 turbo's Bought in June 2007 for $2800  i have the receipt

I think they're from a 32.

These are in decent nick, shaft play normal. Had good response on the 2.6

I'll post pics shortly.

$1200

Sard 700cc twin spray injectors bought new in June 2007 for $1300 :D

Currently in the new engine, i'll remove them in a few weeks before its proper tune. I have 830cc to slot in;)

$600

The turbo's and the inectors have only done 8000km pics to follow

Ok, here are the N1 turbo's that were on the RB26.

The front turbo looks like it's operated without a filter at some point. Compressor wheel has some deterioration of the blades, nothing dramatic.

I'll supply the actuators that came with the dash 5's, i tested them and they min opening psi was 18.

I didn't say they were dash 5's i said the actuator from the dash 5's will be supplied, as these were opening at ~18psi and not the psi i wanted to run the engine in with.

Hope that clears up the confusion.

These are R34 N1's, i've tracked down the serial numbers

BNR34 (N1)......Serial No. 14411-AA402 (Ball bearing centre)

Here is the compressor wheel from the front turbo. Some minor degradation as i mentioned,

This is the rear turbo, blades in good condition.

To tidy this up a little

RB26 engine, number one bearing out of round, rest good crank fine. Includes block standard rods, forged pistons of unknown brand, looks like 20though oversize, head, cams, greddy cam gears, inlet manifold, throttle bodies, sump with trap doors but no diff. Throw a new set of bearings and rods at it and off you go!

$2000

R34 N1 turbo's. cartridge number 707160-4 Good condition, one compressor has some minor pitting, minor though. I will supply actuators

$1200 Probably should have kept these to use on my RB2630 but bought -5's instead;)

Injectors Sard 700cc's currently in my 2630 engine, i have Siemans 830's ready to slot in their place.

$600

    • I've looked up the parts number (41011AL501). It's around $700 OEM. Usually our Infiniti G35 here in Canada have interchangeable parts with my Stagea but the parts number are not the same. I have looked around and it seems the JDM 2005 V35 Skyline (which is the same as our G35) has the same caliper but I cannot confirm. And I can't find a repair kit. The inner brake pads drags on the rotor, seems to be rusty piston. Thanks for the info by the way
    • This coupled with 6-9 speed autos with ridiculously short gearing is why these modern shitbox cars always seem so fast off the line. If it wasn't for those things, Raptors would not seem fast. The problem we have is there is a driveability gap between a more gentle take off and a wheelspinning sideways launch. The difference between ankle flex required to achieve one and ankle flex required to achieve the other is about 0.5°.
    • Yeah I think I'm also with the opposite here. It's 'hard to keep up with traffic' because in the real world I'm accelerating with 15% throttle and they are pinning it. It feels like I'm being an overt dickhead at anything above 15% throttle, so the car sounds like I'm being an overt dickhead to keep up with/get ahead of traffic when I'm really just trying to drive with traffic. There would be no issue 'keeping up with traffic' if we used the same level of throttle input/aggression to drive around. People really do just drive around with their foot nearly pinned in econoboxes.
    • To be fair it's the other way around. 300kw is boring in a modern Golf or BMW. They are so competent / well-engineered / devoid of emotion that you have to go stupid fast to feel anything. Whereas the <300kw RB still makes all the right noises and it feels good to drive. Can pull off at the lights with the turbo whooshing and the blow-off pssshing and feel like the coolest kid on the block. Just don't look to the side where you'll see the bored housewifes in their shitbox Yaris/Corolla/Camry that kept up because you didn't go fast at all
    • 300kW is so boring in a Skyline, you'll get spanked by someone's mum's Golf with Alibaba pipes, and an email tune.
