I have never been to one would love to meet some of the guys from this forum. i am stripping my 30 back in the next month for a respary and the interior is going to my mate at the same time for a full retriim might be a good chance to get it out for a drive, im in ACT do many other people travel for it or is it mainly melb and adelade people?

I'm still keen on going, but only if there will be a decent amount of OLD SCHOOL. Really don't want to rock up to a R32-R34 convention. I'll go by train with car on board. What accomodation did you tee up D, somewhere close to the action?

ive got a friend or 2 in Radelaide so i can stay there. should have 'mandie' in some sort of shape by then as ive just got a new crane job. ive pretty much put the project on hold since like july last year until now. woo!!

In 2006 we had - 1 R33, about 4 R34's

In 2008 we has - about 5 R33, and about 6 R34's,

and both events had nearly 100 cars

so the classics will be well represented

Cool! Partay at Dr Josh's place!

Got room for a tent?

Maybe not for me!

I'll probably be too busy catching up with the lost tribe at the Glenelg.

I'm overnighting at Mildura on Wednesday 8th, plan on being at the Glenelg about 1500 on 9th, do the sites before check-in Friday 10th & departing for home & probably via Wagga Wagga Tuesday morning 14th.

Hope to see you all there in your finest style.

MAG's maybe you might want to RV at Wagga Wagga enroute about 0700/0800hrs on 8th.

Cheers, D

Since I live in Adelaide I will be there, just unsure on whether my car will be there at this point in time.

Im about in the same boat...the house will be finished in the next month or so then im pouring some money into the car...hopefully have it back on the road this year!

Adelaide is the R33 capital of Australia :)

Last SAU cruise I went on in a mates DR30 we felt completely out of place, we even got asked to move so all the 33's could get a group photo :D:) Sad but true

I'd like to go but i dont know if the old (stock as) C210 will make it there, i just wanna see all the skylines, particularly, C110,C210 &C211s.

Might take a flight over if money and time is nice to me.

Put it on a trailer like I'm going to do with the PNV.

Cheers, D

and pay a mobile mechanic to follow :)

just need to keep a lot of tools with me and belts etc and it should be fine.

Im told C210s are really good for highway cruising because of their gearing, im pretty sure its true, it does well.

    • A few small updates since the previous post and lessons. I decided to do a little interior light upgrade on the 110. I quite like the iilumo items, even if they're a bit of a premium over other brands. You'll also note the Stedi Fogs, that will go into the S15 fog lights as I needed to match the bulbs since I got the new ones earlier. I hope they fit as the body is quite a bit longer than your normal bulb.  Annoyingly, I managed to trip the fuse, which normally wouldn't be an issue until I located the fuse. I can't say I've ever come across this. I had lucked out that someone nearby had a spare, but oddly enough Toyota dealerships seem to keep this in stock. I ordered some to keep in my stash and as luck would have it, someone else nearby tripped the same fuse so I passed on the favour.  I also did a little service on the 110 ahead of some additional work coming up. It's been annoying that Goleby's stopped carrying this particular HKS filter for the 110, so now I need to keep them on order from Japan. I also took the opportunity to install a bash plate and number plate riser. The plate riser is such a cheap but nice fix to help really tidy up the car. I'm tempted to now also replace my headlights, on this car. Both items were from Project Aero.    I also needed to replace the rear tyres on the 110, and after trying to get it aligned learnt that I need to replace some bushes in the front end, so that's next.  Closing out this update with a nicer picture as always!
    • Yeah mate, never miss it.
    • Any going to watch World Time Attack at SMSP this year?
    • Appreciate the correction on the "ground", that will make a huge difference to looking at this. That makes complete sense about AF70/AF71 which is what I had come down to being the issue, one of these. I'll have another look in the ignition wiring when I get a chance next week. I'll also make up a jumper wire for running that AF73 test.  ECU is fine, relay itself is fine, pump harness is fine and the pump itself is fine. I am going to upgrade the Walbro 255 anyway with a DW300 I have since I need to replace the fuel sender and I'm going to upgrade the FPR with my chasebays kit ready for new plenum/injectors/dbw, but I'll get this working first. That's why this is so frustrating.
