Don't have $200? I've seen many stag owners have this kind of coin to throw around. All Type Crash told me today they can easily cut up and reweld a plate in place of any rust infection around the stagea mirrors. Or get another door from JIS for $200-$250.

Just picked up my Stagea from ATC today and no more cancer of the passenger door. Repairs to my sideswipe damage looks top notch too.

Timing is great Ruby, my rust is just starting to show on the passenger side :( You still have a black stag, yes? I wonder if ATC can repair pear white... I shall call them Monday. Got to get on top of this surface rust before I have big problems, like the old bluebird...

I dont see how a crash shop will do rust removal with welding in new plates and re painting to sides for $200. If so id like to see the quality of the work. 1/3 of the side will need to be resprayed to blend it properly.

And no I dont have $200 to throw around..... Instead I purchased ganador mirrors for $400 and got them painted for $100 and then I get the enjoyment and satisfaction of removing the rust myself :-)

Ah I was wondering what lurked beneath the wing mirrors & how to get there. Mine needs sorting out, I've halted what I can see with fish oil to buy some time but suspect the oil hasn't reached in far enough. No end to time spent in the shed on this baby.

+1 for everything kidafa has said.

While changing my mirrors today I thought I'd got off lightly. I started with the passenger side and apart for some light rust that I hit with converter I was happy, then i did the drivers side and found quite a bit more, far deeper and wide spread. None of this was visible with the mirrors fitted and the only upside is that I hadn't waited till was visible or it would be much harder to fix.

CHECK YOUR MIRRORS FOR RUST PEOPLE!!

Once I removed all the loose stuff, got some foam sticks, (paint brush handles with a block of foam rubber on the end instead of the usual bristles ~ Bunnings El cheapo) & treated the inside with the same chemical steps as the outside. The foam pads can be formed to fit the inside contours of the door with your finger, messy on fingers but effective on inner unreachable door skin.

I like that idea was wondering how I was gonna get in there

Last thing I did was get into the bottom of the doors & brush out/vacuum all the loose crap out that had shed from the mirror area over time & with my activities. There was quite a bit to suck out. Rust flakes, lots.

Is this necessary? Will all the flaky bits that have fallen in the door start more rust?

Looks like it'd be a PITA to get a vac in there!

Yes - the crap can block the drain holes causing the bottom of the door to rust. Check the accessories that came with your vacuum cleaner - there is often some kind of wand for hard to reach places.

I did mine in 06 when I got the Stag. Just had to do them again, only the drivers side though. Just cleaned up rust converter then some primer and the colour.

    • I can ship Nismo floor mats to you: https://www.oemsoko.co.jp/products/nismo-floor-mats-for-skyline-r33-bcnr33-stagea-wgnc34?_pos=1&_sid=9278c1467&_ss=r
    • Here's the link: https://www.amayama.com/en/genuine-catalogs/epc/nissan-japan/stagea/wgnc34/6642/misc/G49?frame_no=WGNC34-137122 What you think about it? The same product i found on nengun: https://www.nengun.com/oem/parts/40567/MiPwn5qAMfCfmpxHNDnwn5q9MDAx8J-QiW9sZC1qcC0xMTAtRzQ5LS0wMDE/Floor+Carpet+%2F+Mat+2/0688339eba149c19 Bot i have spoken to 😅 ensured me, that mats are 100% original, oem product. I have my doubts. I also heard what you mentioned, that nengun often offers items that are actual not available... On the other hand mats i found on japanese yahoo or ebay are in poor condition and still quite expensive so i'd rather wait for some better offers. My location - Poland. We literaly don't have ANY market for used Stagea parts so need to search outside Europe.
    • You can’t see much on the other side as the lcd is there I don’t think it’s the same as the m33 beside it as the markings on top is not the same was hoping someone had a good quality photo or if they just happened to have the unit in hand, quickly take the cover off and take a photo to clearly show the marking on top to identify the diode   the unit is currently with an electronics repair shop so I can’t take another photo at the moment hopefully they are smart enough to know if it’s a zener diode or not
    • I'd be very surprised if you can buy new OEM mats. But if you can, I want some too!  Do you have links to the variations you found? Also, where are you located? I found that Nengun is happy to list items to purchase but when you do buy them you'll get an email that it's actually discontinued. As far as I know the variations in floor mats are different colour schemes as well as automatic and manual having a slightly different shape. The automatic ones fit into a manual car without issues, but I think you'd have trouble fitting the other way around. I have photos that show the shape difference if you care. FWIW I bought sets of used floor mats in decent condition at yahoo auctions.
    • Hi 🙋‍♂️. Just bought my Unicorn but the interior need some minor work so it would match my expectations ;). I noticed it is hard to get used oem floor mats in good condition so i started to dig if there's any chance to buy set of new ones. I found two websites - nengun and amayama and it looks like one can still buy factory new floor mats in Japan, but thers a small issue. Some mats (i assume genuine, oem ones) are marked as G4900 and these are "discontinued". The ones you can buy are marked as G4911 but i have no idea if these are also oem, made by other producer or some lower quality replacements that looks entirely different. Can anyone help? 😃  P.s. there is also some strange indication - 0V005, 0V015 and 0V505. Any idea what does it mean? Would appreciate any help with this 🙏
