Undecided yet if im def going to upgrade. its either spend $650 on the HKS turbo and get around 280rwkw with good response or sell it and go a hypergear and get between 300-350rwkw with a bit more lag......

I like the response, but its a big power jump

go the hypergear. response is over rated.

yeah lag is hated on soooo much and its bullshit. lag is f**kin awesome cal

drive around off boost n save fuel thumbsup.gif

drive around on boost and smoke most cars that would try race ya

and remember its only a clutch kick away....... or maybe 2 whistling.gif

Well te idea with the HKS was I would have a good balance of both, Plenty of people were getting 280rwkw + on pump fuel with rediculous response, go to E85 and they were over 300rwkw

But things didnt pan out that way, pretty angry with the lack of support from HKS (through nengun was probably the issue)

So its looking likely I'll end up with the Hypergear, and sell my HKS turbo on ebay for more then its worth

But I'm waiting for Stao to finish his latest research with the possible next gen of turbos. The amount of evoloution they do with there turbos makes it hard to settle on a turbo when a newer better one will be made soon. Variable Vane turbo would be the go

it controls us all phil sad.gif

Do you cry a little bit everytime u look at your dp? :P When are we going for a ride Phil?

Haha nah i'm good. Do miss it every now and then though.

Whenever man. I have Saturday off if you wanted to go then.

phil where did you get all your braided line & fittings from?

i will be keen for a ride when i get my new bike up here & rego'd :D

enjoy ya weekend, i am off to brissy for SOUNDWAVE :action-smiley-069:

Through Autobarn. I will actually start to carry braided line and also fittings on the shelf :)

Just trying to decide on what brand to carry. While Speedflow is the obvious choice it is also one of the dearest. The stuff I had on the Skyline was cheaper and I couldn't fault it so might carry them.

My Performance section will hopefully be exploding in size and stock over the coming months so keep your eyes peeled :D

Will do Chris, will add it into the next order. Haven't really had much to do with the carbon side of things due to parting the car out but now that nearly everything is gone I can start concentrating on that again.

are you able to get the push in male fittings for rb26 covers?

might have to get ya to come over and give me a hand to sort out what i need to get to do everything.

i don't need to buy any more go fast bits. i could probably open my own shop at the moment with what i have here now.

Yeah I remember the location is what I want.

as per text, any idea on 52mm version of your pillar?

edit: nevermind already sorted LOL.

Hey guys, just found this thread. Only recently got myself an R32 GTR. Live in Townsville too. I have seen a few skylines kicking about. Mine is gun metal grey with grey/silver wheels with a loud ass exhaust.

Unfortunately my car is off the road just now due to the engine being f**ked... But will hopefully get a built engine in it as soon as possible. On that note, does anyone have a suggestion as to where I can get a rebuild done with forged internals, etc...?

Hey man welcome to the forum.

Get one built down south. Plenty of places to choose from. Really depends on your budget and how much you want to do while the engine is out. Unfortunately can be quite the expensive exercise.

Did she spin a big end bearing? Or crack a piston ring?

    • Ironically the GTT was quite reliable in the 7 years of ownership. From memory I've only had to replace a radiator and coilpacks out of inconvenience
    • Yes I can see how that would put you off HFM, especially with the price of good quality brake fluid. From what I understand it as you say the BM50 is the standard BMC for a R32 GTR, I must admit I would like to go far a Genuine Nissan BM57, but lack of cash prevents that at present. With the price being so close between the genuine BM50 and BM57 a BM57 New it seems a better choice as you gain that 1/16 bore size with the BM57, I would be interested in how much difference you feel with the BM57 fitted. I am going to take SteveL's advice in the short term and see how much actually comes out of that proportioning valve vent and save up for the Genuine Nissan part. Thanks for clarifying the HFM failure
    • Thanks mate. I just got the post inspection 1/2 done from state roads when the starter motor packed up, either that or the car alarm system is having trouble.  OEM part number 23300-AA112.
    • Hi, I though I was coming to an end in finding a replacement starter motor for a rb25de neo. I came across a starter motor from Taarks and a message below stating: Direct fit. 11 Tooth count. All below part numbers have been superseded to 11 teeth. Can some body shed some light on going from 8 teeth to 11 teeth apart from 36-month / 25,000 km warranty for passenger vehicles to 12 Month Warranty. Compatible with the following Nissan part numbers: 23300-20P00 23300-20P01 23300-20P05 23300-20P10 23300-20P11 23300-AA111 23300-AA112 23300-AA300 23300-08U10 23300-08U11 23300-08U15
    • Low battery? Maybe check capacity? I know first-hand, on BMWs if your battery drops below 80% capacity, it starts causing strange issues.
