Hi,

I was checking out this intercooler that is for sale in the QLD Classifieds, link>> Intercooler sale

Would this match up with the stock intercooler holes in my Series 2 Stag? I'm guessing it would haave to be mounted behind the front bar, but I have a factory thermo fan there.

Any help would be appreciated.

the factory thermo fan isn't really an issue, it does come close at the bottom but you should clear. the thing that really gets in the way is the stock auto cooler which you don't have to worry about :P judging by that picture though (it is hard to tell), but i'd say that pipework wont match up. the S2's stock pipework comes through right beside each other, it might not be an issue for you but you may have to open up the holes bigger to get them to align up.

your link doesn't work for me, what are the specs on the cooler? i'm using a 600 x 240 return flow. if i mount it any higher id have to chop out the top part of the rear as well, at the moment i have only trimmed the bottom section. and mounted any lower and the return pipe will hang out the bottom of my front bar.

Some people manage to miss the aircond fan altogether - others just cut bits off that stick out and reroute the power cable. In my case I have a replacement, thinner fan.

I have one should be ok .

pipe work will be tight on stock bar but it`s a neet fit other wise ,

Don`t need to do much ,

Just mark & FOLD REO BAR there is some pic`s i put up before,

Cheer`s Chuckie .

Cheers mate, I saw ur install in the intercooler thread.

I'll see how it goes over the weekend. I want to put it in before I drive to Albury-Wodonga next week.

    • Nice car! I’m glad folks in the US have gotten past the FnF and are buying real cool cars like the 260RS I was with a bunch of mates in Portland about a year ago and spotted a green Stagea (just a regular 2.5T AWD) parked about 2 blocks away and they were like “a what?” So I made a bet with them for a round of beers and said “ok one of you run down there and tell me if the steering wheel is on the correct side” 5 mins later the American comes trudging back up the hill and goes “he’s right guys. Ok what beer do you want?”
    • Should replace OR drop the tank, give it's good clean. Might be worth replacing that entire fuel level/pump/cradle thing with this: https://frenchysperformancegarage.com/products/fpg-s13-180sx-r32gtst-single-pump-hanger-kit-billet-hat-6-v3-fpg-089?gQT=2
    • Thank you so much for the help
    • Yes it is ATF. I quote @Duncan "it takes a good synthentic auto trans fluid like Castrol Transmax Z" It's not a diff. It's a transfer case. Totally different thing. Yes, fluid will come out the sender hole. No you do not really need to drain it. Just pull the old, quickly poke the new, clean up and top up. But realistically, you should probably take the opportunity to change it anyway.
    • Hey all. I’m looking on replacing my speed sensor on my R33 GTR. Will the center differential need to be drained, and if so, the center diff uses ATF fluid D? I found information on the transmission, front diff and rear diff. Can’t find a for sure answer for the center diff. Any help will be greatly appreciated.
