oh, sorry sir.

1, there was no one behind me, im not that stupid,

and 2, there would have been less smoke coming from me doing 1.5 spins over someone

from group one linking the whole strait.

so, if you dont mind stfu

ps, cant believe you joined just to say that.

i saw you do a burnout, yes there might not have been cars right behind you but a bunch of cars had to stop because of the smoke screen you left, there was almost no wind to blow it off the track

yes group 1 drifters would make alot of smoke but its not all in 1 spot so it wasnt a issue, not like when someone does donuts

btw "Joined: 18th February, 2010" i didnt just join to post that, its just the 1st time ive felt like posting

Its a prac session mate,

Relax.

yes and people want to practice, they dont want to be held up by idoits who think its a burnout composition

Nick,

is your car actually built in 86 or is it like most that are actually 84 models ?

86 in AE86 doesnt refer to the year it was built

i think 99.99999 percent of people in the crowd love the skids, the beg for it.

and if the drivers where in the crowd, they'd love it too!

seeing as you seen my skid, did it atleast look good for the price i gotta pay?

but i see where your comin from, multiple donuts in a row are silly, but spinning the long way round

to get going in the right direction, thats different.

?

the engine was sitting on limiter for 2 donuts before i realised oil pressure was 0... after that is was

game over....

But seriously Craig even though it is 'just a prac' it's pretty annoying. You don't get too many laps (especially in group 1) on a prac night and it shits you every time you have to bail on a corner cause some dude is smoking it up trying to get going again.

Having said that, I'm fking pumped to get my shitheap out on june 19th, will be first time out there in 7 months.

yes, one donut when i spun, and 3/4 of a spin to get it going in the right direction :P

f**k me, next time i spin, ill turn the car off, get out, and push it in the right direction as to

not put any wedgies up vaginas

Nah got rid of that, got some SR 180 now. It's got fuck all done to it but slides aight so far, hopefully will take well to lala.

Just shit stirring craig  but yeah whenever I spin I get off the track to let the bloke behind me get a clean lap in then, common courtesy

I do the same, I try and keep the car rolling and head straight to the side of the track. I hate it when people spin and just cut straight back on to the track infront of you making you end your slide. I hit turn 1 flat out the other night only to have to lock it up cos all that i could see in front of me was a wall of white smoke.

lol. wonder if the next post will have you doing some epic understeer and going straight in a cloud of hate inducing smoke

As a first-timer to watching the drift-practice, I was a bit stunned about some of the behavior of a number of the cars doing donuts straight after spinning out - I saw at least two occasions where it ended in near accident, and too many more where it held up the entire track because of the huge white cloud obscuring visibility.

As someone merely observing, I'm unaware of whether marshalls bother reprimanding people doing that (or other silly behavior) but I sure hope so.

It's a track for crying out loud!!!

Edit: Allow me to explain, I understand what everyone is saying: jrm, DSTROY, driftnick13, and I agree to an extent. But the reason people build drift cars is so they can go nuts in a "safe" environment. I do however agree with some comments here.

While i was sitting in my car on the other side of the track i seen some dipshit slow down in front of the crowd and start to do ringies on the straight. Marshalls got in their car and went after him, doubt they would of done much though.

Do 100+ KM/H around a corner sidways to find a wall of white smoke so thick that you cant see through it and see how safe you feel.

Okay, I agree. Maybe a little powerskid would be more appropriate than dutching out the track with ringies.

i seem to think you were the only one doing 1 3/4's of a donut everytime you hit turn one... if you like static skids enter a burnout comp.. theres money on offer at murray bridge speedway.. there the kind of ppl who love it you dooney...

excuse me??

i only spun out there once the whole night.....

and it was a genuine spin.m

f**k me, lets all hate the first timer guy that spun and did a skid oh noes call a current affair hoon on the track

might as f**king well... f**k me

funny thing is, half these pricks complaining prob slide on the street and put

other people on danger ffs.

dont like a noob spinning and giving it stick on take off?? f**k off and join group one.

till then, im gonna keep pushing hard till i stick that corner.

    • Absolute f*cking nightmare. I had to take breaks constantly, and I was always pissed off when I got home. The line split in Italy on day 2 (we drove from the Netherlands), lol. Driving any narrow European town was... well, sh*t.   Appreciate it man. Here, I'll just drop a favourite from the load I took on Saturday.   I'll update here when things happen with the car, the thing is, with stock power and almost everything chassis-wise taken care of, there really are no problems. 268,000kms now and counting.
    • Ah! I actually managed to snag a lightly used set.... that aren't so suitable for me right now. They don't work on a GTT without some cutting or creative heat moulding. I thought about reselling them myself cause I didn't want to murder them, but it looks like I'm probably going to attempt to murder them/melt them because I may as well. @GTSBoy @PranK can somebody close this thread?
    • Hey mate,  I have a set, one is slightly damaged but wont be noticable once installed.  Shoot me a message if your still after them
    • I couldn't wait But, the black constant tension hose clamps were too thick and there wasn't enough clearance at the T/B and I couldn't get it to seat properly, so I had use a silver one there I also added some 3" silicone over the alloy bit that goes through to hole on the radiator support as it looked like it was sitting on the edge of the hole in the radiator support, I never noticed a rattle or anything, but there was a witness mark It is basicly done, and I can live with the silver hose clamp at the T/B, I will get a black clamp for the head vent though where it is attached to the bulkhead fitting  It never stops...LOL, only issue now with the shock tower brace is it slightly touches the under bonnet liner now, if I leave it it will either wear some paint off the brace where it touches, or damage the liner, so I removed the liner to see what I have to work with, with the liner removed I have about 20mm of clearance, but sadly the middle part of the underside of the bonnet is only dusted with paint and looks crap, so I cannot have that, but.... as I have a roll of Carbuilders premium under bonnet insulation in the garage laying around that is only 5.5mm thick (we were going to use it on the boys Patrol, but he crashed the front of it a few months and it was written off, hence why he now drives my old Honda Accord Euro), I'll use the OEM liner as a template and get the Carbuilders stuff fitted up to cover that dusted paint up
