ok.... i had a breath, lost my ranga temper so let me go again..

yes, i spun coming onto the strait, yes i kept my foot in it, yes i turned around the long

way, in which mad it look like i was chucking mad ringies bro.....

relax yeah? i didnt stop in the middle of the strait and chuck multiple skids just for the hell of it.

and i know im not the only one who did it, i seen ALOT of the same behaviour

when lining up for another lap.

i seem to think you were the only one doing 1 3/4's of a donut everytime you hit turn one... if you like static skids enter a burnout comp.. theres money on offer at murray bridge speedway.. there the kind of ppl who love it you dooney...

How bout you all gtfo and let it go,

Sh!t... He was a first timer out there and you know what - I would have done the same thing. I seen people like Kojie doing it too and I don't see anyone rip into him? GTFO and get off the bandwagon.

Dw craig, if it was me I would have done it to lol

Normally skids aren't a problem cos the wind blows it a way quick, Saturday night was just bad cos there was no wind which made it a bit dangerous, Turn 1 just happends to be a third gear corner and if a car was hit flat out side on someone could be badly hurt or even killed as most cars have no rollcages or harnesses.

my 2c

I paid my $10 to get in there, and I loved the skids!

well the drivers pay alot more and dont like it when lap after lap is ruined by idoits doing stupid shit, what craig R33 did was far from the worst thing i saw tho, people doing static burnouts every time they spun, people pulling out into traffic

if you spin you dont need to make a huge smoke cloud to turn the car back around

  • 1 month later...

Yep I'll be out there, pending if we can find a car trailer tomorrow my mate will be out sliding but were having heaps of trouble finding one, all cooks, servo's etc are all booked out of trailers with in reasonable distance to him.

Anyone know of any floating around that can be lent for a days hire?

We have $$$.

Thanks lads :D

Im going out for the first time im my daily 33 I think I have everything covered. Do I need gloves?

you only need long sleeves and pants/jeans made from cotton etc and a helmet that complies to Australian standards.

Thanks man, took me a bit to get use to my new setup tonight. Went from using crappy old 215's to brand new 235 Neutons and went from 3 deg of rear camber to 1 deg. The grip level is crazy compared to last time i was out and I had problems with the handbrake because of the new grip.

    • A few small updates since the previous post and lessons. I decided to do a little interior light upgrade on the 110. I quite like the iilumo items, even if they're a bit of a premium over other brands. You'll also note the Stedi Fogs, that will go into the S15 fog lights as I needed to match the bulbs since I got the new ones earlier. I hope they fit as the body is quite a bit longer than your normal bulb.  Annoyingly, I managed to trip the fuse, which normally wouldn't be an issue until I located the fuse. I can't say I've ever come across this. I had lucked out that someone nearby had a spare, but oddly enough Toyota dealerships seem to keep this in stock. I ordered some to keep in my stash and as luck would have it, someone else nearby tripped the same fuse so I passed on the favour.  I also did a little service on the 110 ahead of some additional work coming up. It's been annoying that Goleby's stopped carrying this particular HKS filter for the 110, so now I need to keep them on order from Japan. I also took the opportunity to install a bash plate and number plate riser. The plate riser is such a cheap but nice fix to help really tidy up the car. I'm tempted to now also replace my headlights, on this car. Both items were from Project Aero.    I also needed to replace the rear tyres on the 110, and after trying to get it aligned learnt that I need to replace some bushes in the front end, so that's next.  Closing out this update with a nicer picture as always!
    • Yeah mate, never miss it.
    • Any going to watch World Time Attack at SMSP this year?
    • Appreciate the correction on the "ground", that will make a huge difference to looking at this. That makes complete sense about AF70/AF71 which is what I had come down to being the issue, one of these. I'll have another look in the ignition wiring when I get a chance next week. I'll also make up a jumper wire for running that AF73 test.  ECU is fine, relay itself is fine, pump harness is fine and the pump itself is fine. I am going to upgrade the Walbro 255 anyway with a DW300 I have since I need to replace the fuel sender and I'm going to upgrade the FPR with my chasebays kit ready for new plenum/injectors/dbw, but I'll get this working first. That's why this is so frustrating.
