hey all, i recently put a new clutch in my car and i need some help with it. atm the pedal is really hard and the distance between the clutch being engaged and disengaged is rather small. to add to this the point where that area is, is really far down, as in the pedal has to be pushed really far down to get to that point. im wondering if i change the slave cylinder to either a smaller or a larger unit will a) make the clutch pedal lighter b) make the the distance between engaging and disengaging larger aswell as brining the point of engagement further up. any help would be much appreciated.

a bigger one will make it feel lighter, but for a given amount of pedal movement you'll get less slave cylinder movement - less travel. a smaller one will be a bit harder to push but you wont have to move the pedal as far to make the clutch slave move the same amount it does now.

ahhh thanx heaps baron, its a full face copper mix clutch plate and some high pressure pressure plate. i was told it wont be like a button cause i dint want a button but atm its kinda acting like one. im hoping as i wear it in more itll be a little lighter and hoping with a smaller slave cyl it will be easier to drive.
