Yeah its really strange because theres just one dodgy wood screw holding it there right where i need to drill... maybe i can just re-locate it. but i still want to know what it is, so when i take the hoses off i dont get sprayed in the face with liquid or something

yeah i thought that could be the case but i would be able to see it from the other side

i got some more photos and found where these two hoses lead too (sort of)

so one of the hoses lead into the T peice as shown and the other one join into that metal pipe that u can see in the left had side of the photo

Then i followed it around and this is the last place i followed it until it dissapeared under the car

it sounds like the charcoal cannister. Fuel lines and vac hose are connected to remove the smell of petrol leaking in the engine bay - if you remove it, you'll surely soon know about it :)

Yeah me too, apparenty it just filters fuel vapors so they dont vent to atmosphere. i might just join the hoses together. lol

ok thanks heaps for the advice guys, im going t try and relocate it around the piping if possible.

Another question, on the stock boost controller , theres still a hose coming off it that goes into another vacuum line, can i just plug this hose up? as i would like to use the vacuum line for my after market boost controller and will save me putting in another T peice

    • Does it also misfire equally when revving?   Josh is very correct in what you should do. The coilpack harness wiring loom itself is a known problem due to its age and the number of heat cycles it has gone through. Throwing parts at a vehicle to diagnose the issue isn't a smart or good way to do it. Secondly, you may have a bad coil pack, you pop replacements in, they fix that issue, but messing with the harness breaks it, so the issue persists. So now you think "well it wasn't the coil packs" and have to continue chasing your tail, potentially swapping back in your shit coil packs and returning the good ones (yes, I've seen people do this because 'it wasn't the problem' and they want to save money). And suddenly, you've got two issues with the same symptoms...   Diagnose, don't use the spare parts shotgun.
