You want FLASHY or practical?

Your car insured and do you intend it to stay that way??

You want deep dish look or most suitable???

For tyres, do you want economy or don't care about what you have to pay????

And do you want some ride quality or want to know the sixpense you drive over is heads or tales?????

All this and more has to be considered before you do anything with wheels.

haha way to over complicate a seemingly simple question Dennis

I think he might just want to know what other people are running to give him an idea is all

Im Looking at 16x8 with a 0 offset......Would I be Able To Tuck that on a Dr30 with some streched tires and Maybe a Little camber?

What type of fitment you chasing? Do you want an aggressive offset or???

This is my car when I bought it, with 15 x 7 +10 sits in quite a bit.

My car now a touch more aggresive 17" x 10" +20 on the rear, wheels are still easily in the gaurds currently has 235 stretched on but it can and has fit 275 with no scrub.

u can fit pretty much anything with a bit of work, x8 +0 will be fine

mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm!

I wonder if this could possibly be correct?

And DR JOSH's 17 x 10 +20 mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm maybe, BUT!

The pics below are 16 x 8 +25 so you decide.

The tyres are 245/45 Yokohama A008RSII and they scrub on the top over any bump at any speed. I have to roll the inner guard & fit my coil overs fitted with 250+lb/in springs and wind them up to g'tee clearance, or do a big flare job on the guards. There is about 30mm clearance inside between tyre and trailing arm.

Cheers, D

Dennis, when is the DR ready to hit the track? Let me know your first outing and I will bring the TR8. I have a Supersprint mid April at Eastern Creek but always keen to squeeze in another track day.

cheers

I'm still waiting for the fuel rail to be made.

Was told yesterday it's being anodized so should be soon now, maybe! Yeehaa 770 injectors & lots of E85 force fed at about 20psi.

Then I'll get serious with that & the PNV. Changed the rear end on PNV today to the Koni & King show.

Ordered new front inserts today, so will be looking to have the Koni & King show all round.

Gotta have it ready for Adelaide, as I'm looking into freighting the DR and trailering the PNV so I can have some hot laps of Mallala.

Cheers, D

    • I've got a 2011 J50 that I imported six years ago. The unmodified factory AV system date and time has always been correct ( Japanese timezone of course ) up until last month. About two weeks ago, at engine start, the system wished me a happy new year ( in Japanese of course ). I can't think of anything that would make the system think that the date had changed, unless the GPS component has failed/reset somehow ? I checked the GPS reception in the system settings, and it can still see the satellites. Has any other J50 owner had this happen ?  It's no biggie, just annoying that it tells me the wrong date anytime I start the engine. 😅
    • Love following your adventures on IG, hopefully if you're still around in Japan when we visit again wouldn't mind going for a few beers with you (that's if you're keen on hearing how I hate Nissans).
    • ok so if i wanted to go 18's i would go for 8's  in front 30+ or 32+ off set at front and the back 9 would be ok? what offset should i aim for.. then can i do some  hunting for wheel rim choices..    If i get this - will this fit all around: Size: 18 x 8.5 +37 - n what tyres size tyre should i get for front n back?
    • Absolute f*cking nightmare. I had to take breaks constantly, and I was always pissed off when I got home. The line split in Italy on day 2 (we drove from the Netherlands), lol. Driving any narrow European town was... well, sh*t.   Appreciate it man. Here, I'll just drop a favourite from the load I took on Saturday.   I'll update here when things happen with the car, the thing is, with stock power and almost everything chassis-wise taken care of, there really are no problems. 268,000kms now and counting.
    • Ah! I actually managed to snag a lightly used set.... that aren't so suitable for me right now. They don't work on a GTT without some cutting or creative heat moulding. I thought about reselling them myself cause I didn't want to murder them, but it looks like I'm probably going to attempt to murder them/melt them because I may as well. @GTSBoy @PranK can somebody close this thread?
