mercuryimports under wat circumstances does that farknut have the right to say hes going to keep gtr30beast's 6 grand as costs? costs for what? for sending messages?

If he is not happy with how the transaction is happening, he should have the farkn decency to refund the guy his 6k. says alot bout a workshop when they condone such scams.

hope you get your money back buddy.

Yeah really makes wonder????????????????

Just had Trent from mercury motorsport ring to tell me if i send him the other 6 grand he will be able to get me my gearbox, JUST DONT INVOLVE THE POLICE HAHAHAHAHA.

well glad theres been progress mate (not suprised seeing how hes had many dealings here on sau and therefore an address wouldnt be too hard to source out)

but personally i wouldnt send another 6k to a guy who for some very odd reason (that maybe mercury motorsports might be able to explain to us) refuses to allow you to pick up the item personally.

:P good luck buddy

We (Mercury Motorsport) in no way condone not giving the money back and it is far from a scam! It is a large ticket item that 555kkk has for sale. People get nervous with this kind of cash and I have heard people being robbed for less. The only reason Mercury Motorsport is mentioned in this whole thing is because we are trying to help complete a sale that was between to other parties who obviously can't even sort themselves out.

Well thats one way of paraphrasing my offer to help you get the gearbox in a hurry!

I got a PM from gtr30beast asking for my assistance. I rang him and offered to mediate a solution that would help both parties (I was working under the assumption that Phillip still wanted the gearbox and that Ben still wanted to sell it). I didn't have to ring you and offer to help, but because I know Ben and that nothing sinister is going on I thought I could help out. I even offered to go and pick up the box and send it to Phillip to ensure that he had someone on his side up here (in Brisbane) to complete the sale for him!

From what I can gather, BOTH parties are stressing about being ripped off (kind of ironic!), this has led to some very agro txting, each party doubting the other and then it was doomed from there. There is a peaceful solution and if that means I have to step in and help then that is what I am doing.

I would like to know what the reason is behind the refusal to pick the item up ..sounds pretty dodgy.

Would you let a stranger come to your house and pick up a $12k gearbox? I would be worried about being robbed, or having the place robbed in the not to distant future!

People don't even list their address when selling a car for the exact same reason!

    • The wideband reading is meaningless if it's not running. Why are you using shitty old sidefeeds on any engine, let alone a Neo? What manifold and fuel rail are you using to achieve that? Beyond that, can't help you with AEM stuff as I've never been their ECU/CAS combo.
    • Manual boost controllers (where a little of the boost was bled off) were quite common back in the day, because they were cheap and easy. Generally they had a manual adjustment screw rather than being fixed like yours. Down side is they always bleed boost, not just when you want them to so an electronic boost controller that uses a solenoid will have less lag.
    • Hello , im new here and i have A31 home build  RB25det neo stock eng / turbo  aem ems 2 blue connector  aem 3.5 map aem cas disk aem wideband connected to ecu  355 lph pump 550 nismo yellow injectors side feed aftermarket regulator  and won’t start with base aem tuner basic tune eventually flipped cas 180 degree so it triggers on correct stroke not in exhaust cycle  Now it won’t start Wideband reads 10 and 11 at lowest fuel setting  and will share calibrations soon for aem tuner i think something is wrong in aem tuner    please if you have any information, am very grateful
    • Legend. I ended up finding the facebook account of the owner of the first car i sent but sadly he deactivated the account. I think you’re right in saying it’s some sort of well done custom job. Really appreciate your help anyways.
    • Totally equivalent. Stock often goes from the comp cover because that's where the actuator is also installed and the factory needs 2" of hose to make the connection - and it comes as a pre-assembled unit. They totally have a boost reference from somewhere between the turbo and the throttle(s). Oh, jeez. Just do it in M12 then. We don't actually care that much. I would expect any such AN converter fitting to rely on an o-ring or some other seal onto a flat surface under the flange of the hex**, because bolt threads are no intended to provide a pressure seal. unlike..... pipe threads. **which also requires a suitably flat and smooth surface on the turbo's boss to provide the seal.
