zebra
well, I don't know too much about how expensive toyota parts are, but it would seem reasonable to assume they are a lot cheaper than nissan parts. But are you also saying that the 1jz is easier to cheaply mod for better performance? Because im sure the RB26 has just as many parts out there to give it the same gain for similar prices, as far as aftermarket goes, just guessing though. Well going to a 1JZ instantly saves you 1300+ bucks on buying an RB oil pump that wont break the 1st time you hit the limiter. 1JZ rods are just as strong, if not stronger than RB26 rods, and the pistons look like they were carved from the amour of an Abrams tank Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/318390-my-1jz-gte-powered-r34-4door-nissan-skyline/page/2/#findComment-5519845 Share on other sites

xxjavaxx2001
Very very nice mate, I am doing the same conversion to my R33 How did you do your engine mounts? Did you make them yourself or buy a kit? I used the mounts that came with the 1jz Engine.. Then welded the mounts to the body.. with additional reinforcements.. Luciano
^+1 to the above. I'm interested as to how it's all wired, ECU, etc. Looks like a VERY tidy conversion, well done. The 1J engine note sounds fantastic in the video!
