Plumb Back Too Noisy!

Recommended Posts

Hi guys ... I've got a GTR bov on my r34 GTT, fully plumbed back to stock pipe with good clamps etc. but still too loud! I have a HKS power intake air filter maybe that's the reason? How can I make it quieter? I looked at those pod enclosure but I don't think it's gonna do much

is it really a problem?

GTR bovs are one of the best sounding bovs out there. and you said its plumbed back, so no worries.

dododoooooo

thats the standard gtr bov(s) ? sounds like running no bov

Get a shroud made up or buy one and cover the inside with that stuff they use for sound deading, Dynamat ???

I painted my shroud and whilst it was off the plumb back BOV noise was louder (BOOOOOSSSSSHHHHH-defect), put it back on and the noise wasn't as bad, I couldn't use the stock air box as its a high mount w/ aftermarket stuff and things.

Easiest fix is to buy a second hand air-box, shouldn't be too hard to find and probably won't cost too much either. I'm running a POD right now and still have my std airbox, but I'm not selling. :P
