Get the genuine nissan head gasket and then since u already have the engine apart get the head ported and polished, highstrenght valve springs, bronze retainers, 264 duration cams, chrome molly valves etc.

Dont know cost of a stock head gasket but an aftermarket copper is around $400 at the moment

inasnt: she's trying to save costs you goon, not build a race car!

carlie, you should be able to get it fixed if you are lucky for $500-$800 or so - and assuming no further damage. New motor would be around $1k at least for an RB20DET

Unless you build a car INASNT, otherwise i really think one from Nissan will just do the job fine, but best to get hold of an imported one, not something from Repco.

Not going to get change from 10k on a gearset installed.  $30k++ for sequential.   I know you run the risk of a damaged used one and parts are hard to get but as a street car gearbox its really hard to beat. If you enjoy a more traditional manual, its the choice no question.
