I've heard mixed reports about spacers.

Some guys say there's no issues, some say just get the rims with the right offset.

There's only a couple rims I really like and will cost over $2k.

For now I'd rather put that into tyres.

I currently have 17 inch Sterns 235+35 and 255+37. I'm pretty sure this seems to be the ideal offset for legal fitment.

My camber is relatively mild and the top edges of the tyres sit about 13mm inside the guards.

I'm about to recondition these rims with a repolish and repaint and wouldn't mind having the tyres flush at the tops, and maybe have zero camber on the rears for optimum traction as this IS the biggest issue with the GTS-T.

I can get 5 mm floating spacers or 15mm bolt ons.

Just wondering if anyone can explain the difference in handling I might expect with those 2 options.

depends what you do man

spacers are fine for city laps and shit but i wouldnt use them out at the track

don't get me wrong, people do and have no problems but theres always the chance of the nuts coming undone, plus the extra load on the studs

15mm are pretty mellow though, i would probably rather use 15's that a 5mm slip on... just take them off if you're gonna do anything serious

I was researching about spacers recently and found this site you should have a look at. Make sure to use bolt on hub centric spacers.

I have known mates use spacers on the track with no issues. As long as they are secured properly on the centre of the hub there shouldn't be any problems. As a result I've recently ordered 25mm bolt on hub centric spacers that'll make my wheels kiss the guards =D

they are tyre sizes not rim widths.. but anyway like everyone else said if you must use hubcentrics not slip ons. you wont have handling differences as such but you might find the 15mm will push it out further than you want, best thing for now would be to leave them alone dont spend ANY money on these wheels be it a polish and paint or spacers save that 500 or so and put it towards the next set of wheels why fix up something u dont want anyway

    • Ok thanks..that was my second question if i can somehow bypass this even with Nistune(that is all i have right now...aparat from stock ECU. So with some aftemarket it can by "bypassed" or make it work?  I know there is Link or Haltech (mainly used). We have ECUmaster here so i will gather some info about it.
    • Yes. You will need to get the original boost sensor and wire it in. That is.... if you plan to use a stock ECU - even a Nistuned ECU. The Nissan ECU will not operate correctly without it connected. And yes, it will do annoying stuff like you are experiencing. You will almost certainly be better off with some aftermarket ECU, than trying to hunt down rare sensors.
    • Ok so ABS/TCS is "not" the problem. Yeah i know now about the ABS with Nistune(i told that to the Nistune guy) but iam not 100% why or why i dont have ABS. ABS cube is in the engine (always has been) but i had braked couple of times rly hard and brakes just locked and scream. Does all Skylines have ABS cube? That boost sensor https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/367633-wtb-r34-gtt-turbo-pressure-sensor-pics-inside/ Is this it? I need to ask but i have a picture of engine bay and i do not see that (100% is not in that place) If i do not have this the car can do what mine is?(cutting around 4000 rpm) Here is the pic of my engine bay(only one i have) BUT i think i dont have that cuz loom was used from my RB20DE NEO and i know (obviously) that it does not have boost control or any wire to that...) so maybe that is the problem? (i dont know for 100% if that car where the engine is from had that)...but i dont have the loom from that
