Got the car back today, pulled 287kw @ 18psi, full boost around 4000/4100rpm range according to the dyno sheet.

Only drove the car for the 10 min drive home, and it pulls hard on boost. Will give it a good run over the weekend to see whats what, and will post up the dyno graph hopefully tomorrow :D

Cheers mate,

Low boost @14psi is still through the EBC, which is a Greddy Profec Bspec 2.

The cam gears were pretty much left untouched from the original tune with the std turbos which was response. The settings that i can read (through the clear cam cover) look like:

- about 2-3deg adv. on intake side and about 2deg ret. on exhaust side (which is a bit hard to read because of the CAS being in the way).

Been for a couple of runs to the shops and the car is still very responsive. Would be hard to beat in the hills I reckon lol.

Though the real boost doesn't come on til around the 4k mark (up about 300-400 on std turbos), the car is still much quicker while its coming onto boost than it ever was, and its really pulling hard at about 5K all the way through the revs. So you could say the car is now quicker everywhere through the revs.

The -9's seem to be an almost perfect match to the revvy nature of the RB26 when compared to the std "choke" turbos.

Yea I agree with it being quicker coming into boost. As I shown above I got it to basically the same level of boost at the same rpm but it actually feels better than the stocks coming into boost

Today I disconnected the signal going to the acts and it showed that these babies are capable of 18psi at around 4k hence why i asked about your cam gear settings as I feel there might have some gain to be had there still.

What boost are you seeing with the ebc off? I have the 8.8psi acts so I'm trying to get the best response I can with them by adjusting preload and then i would interfere with the ebc. Did you adj prelaod on yours btw?

Mine are the 1 bar actuators but I haven't driven it with the EBC off.

I set the preload just by adjusting the rod until it freely slid onto the pin then turned the adjustment in 6 half turns so the rod needed to be pulled onto the pin with a bit of effort. Do you think there is much to be had by adjusting them anymore than that? what was your initial preload and how much adjustment has been required to show the results you have got?

When I got mine the section of the hole towards the end of the rod was sitting on the middle of the pin on the wasteagate flap. I tightened it in 2 complete turns and it now sits almost to the edge of the pin.....a little effort to go on but nothing hard to do, and I noticed the oem turbs had about the same preload too as I have them on now.

I will continue to fiddle with them as it only takes me about 10mins to adjust....the hardest part is letting it cool down. I will post the results

The 2-3degs you mentioned,..... Is it actually 2-3 notches on the cam gear?.. If so, it will actually be 4-6degs as 1 notch is equal to 2 degs

mine is hitting 18psi at 3800rpm, cam gears adjusted, unknown cams

seems like mine is hitting 25psi around 3800-4000 RPM

with standard cam gears!

will put up a final power figure in this thread once all its issues are sorted!

    • Started sifting thru my brakes to decide which ones I will run on Clem   Made me think I should just put them all on Silver...for when brake fade just isn't an option   Should be able to bump rotor up from 343x32 to 348x36 off Supra. Not sure if the Supra annulus is right for the Alcons or APs but trying g to find a used Supra\M4 rotor to test fit The Alcons seem to gain 1-2mm clearance which all helps
    • So car is getting a few mods to the cage and some jacking points welded in Meantime Ol Silver gets a new gearbox and shiny clutch.  Old Box is being set aside for Clem
    • Probably speedometer itself if the odometer is ticking. If the needle is stuck from a bit of grease or something that can cause it to stay at 0. Or a cracked solder joint in the speedometer can do it too.
    • Thanks Fella’s   to take this off topic and to elaborate a bit more. I have an rb25/30 going into a r32 GTST.. expected to make around 600-700hp. Would you?   A) R34 GTT box   B) CD00#?  I’ve seen a few posts about the CD swap and sounds fairly involved with making it fit etc but if it’s worth the work then I’ll go that way
    • Lower at the hubs. Funny I forgot to mention that part. Do this pull here I turned the camera off too soon but the graph shows a drop at the top and that was because the pipe from the turbo blew off. The tuner said we could’ve made possibly another 15 whp. He also added if I switched to ethanol we could up the boost some more as well. I was comfortable capping it at the most of 20 pounds. Turns out the turbo pipe just needed a new worm clamp. Got home replaced that then did a third gear pull from 3k to 7200 rpm and the power was great to the top. I just got an ecu mounting bracket from IEE that I need to try and get everything to fit well. It’s a PITA to get the harness and ecu fit properly behind that kick plate
