i said pretty much the same thing to him tonite actually :D hahaha....

he's going to go through a shitload of cars so why not try them all! the audi's got 60k on the clock now after 2 years, time to go ;) his reasoning is he wants convertible and the saab is affordable and the new 9-3 looks really nice and its quite practical with the large back seat.

he'll lease cars for 2 years or 60,000km, whatever comes first, and then change. he doesnt need much convincing on an Evolution 6 or 7 but i dont think he'll settle on japanese ;) hahah

lol, until just now I don't think Kel knew about the small spin on a *ahem* closed road on a wet day. Still makes my laugh how close we came to getting nailed by Oz since he was lurking behind having a laugh.

As for the saab, it has snap oversteer when you enter turn 10 at eastern creek in the wet. :(

Actually, the saab was a great car. 4 door convertible (practical in convertible terms). High pressure turbo is quick enough. Great ride as with most euro cars. Far cheaper than comparable cars (bmw 330, audi a4, merc clk are all over 100k) Good residual, 60% after 3 years, we are getting 45% after 4 years. Fully electic room and top heater means you get to cruise to work in the middle of winter with the room off :) Top car for a cruise, I'd thoroughly recommend it.

(Just not for track work lol)

She does now Mr H!

And, on the Saab- I say "Wot he said"

Great value for money, enough go to go at the lights and not as common as a Beemer

nice pic.....is it a boy or a girl?:)

I like the name suggested Dino! You have no idea how many blokes come up to you (thinking they are SOOOO original) and ask you to take your top off when you drive a convertible!

I think it will be a girl for no good reason except she has already cost me a bit of money, is great to look at and seems a little temperamental when the brakes are on!

    • Pads for R32 GTS-t, R32 GT-R non V-Spec (Sumitomo), R33 GTS-t and R34 GT-t are all interchangeable. R34 GT uses a 2x piston caliper, hence it didn't fit.
    • Checked with amayama and nope, the full S2 manual set is not available anymore. Unsurprising, but still disappointing as the ? on availability gave a glimmer of hope.
    • I've heard the Tomei USA head gaskets are decent if you want to o-ring the heads but otherwise not recommended.
    • The 296mm rotors are the R33 turbo brakes. The 310mm rotors are the R34 turbo brakes. The calipers are nearly the same, but not. They're the same caliper but the R34 caliper has longer legs so that it sits out far enough to go over the rotor. The pads are the same for both. When you say, "I bough tsome EBC"....did you just mean pads? Or rotors? 310mm rotors fit under 17" wheels. There may be some wheels without enough clearance though. I can't fit my fingers between the barrel of my wheel and the "corners" of my R34 calipers, but there is plenty of room behind the spokes. This is on Enkei RPF1. You can fit 324mm rotors inside a 17" wheel, but I'd be willing to bet that it would be close to impossible with the Nissan/Sumitomo caliper (using an adapter, of course), because the Sumitomo caliper is fatter than the Brembo caliper that is supposed to go on the 324mm rotors.
    • Hi. Can someone tell me what brakes(and mainly WHERE) can i buy brakes on R34 GTT? I bought some EBC which SHOULD go on my car(i have GT but it has GTT brakes) but it does not fit, Brakes are "too" small(296mm) Are 310mm be good or? I have 17 inch wheel so no "big boys" but for me driving i just need one that fits and i can get here in EU/Czech.
