Not 100% sure what you mean by this, but having purchased a CD key from a US retail version of TOR doesn't mean you'll be able to see ocianic/aus servers when they're up.

Example - WoW EU, while being the exact same game, is not compatible with US/oceanic servers and visa versa.

Hi wowfag,

Please note in games that don't cater to 12yo using their mum's credit card simple things like being able to connect to any server in the world are quite common. You can already connect to all NA and EU servers with the same version. If there are (real) Oceanic servers at some stage they will appear in another server tab so you may have to perform one extra mouse click, I will admit this may preclude some users from joining an Oceanic or other regional server.

On the topic of the Oceanic Servers.

According to EA / Bioware, to coincide with the Australian release of SWTOR, they are looking at finalising a location for an australian based server?

Most like will be offering free transfers too..

That being said, I need to buy the damn game as I'm getting itchy, already downloaded the client and installed it.. can't buy a damn key from swtor.com itself..

apart from ebgames who are importing them in low numbers .. anyone recommend anyway just to purchase a key / game itself?

or anyone know where i can get my hands on a copy in melb?

cjs-cdkeys.com is where I got mine.

You love it

But really, you can already hop around NA and EU servers, it's fine.

Well look at it this way: as Australians, we get absolutely ripped off on games. If a US copy can play on AU servers, why would we pay more for an AU copy? By disallowing it, they force us to pay more. Kinda makes sense.

There's no region locking on the game to begin with so it wouldn't make any sense.

Good luck, haha. Even coming from ~250 days played on wow, it was still a bit to get used to TOR. I'm now lvl39 and have shit under wraps.

Except for chat. That shit's retarded.

well fk, what chance do I have.... I played KOTOR but this entirely different. I can use 1-5 numbered ablities easily (ex-hon player) but any above that I have to click which I am reallllllllly slow at. On top of the I am not used to the whole click and drag to mouse look...in battle I usually end up looking at the sky or the groud ARGhhhhGHHGH!

Gotta learn the hard way I guess. From the couple of hours I have played it looks like a pretty wicked game.

Perhaps you need to invest in some rebinding of the standard hotkeys, using things like the function keys F1 - F5 or so, as well as ALT+[key] bindings. This is my current bar setup for a Jedi Sage:

Yeah rebinding the keys is pretty important when you have a wide variety of skills to use, like you do in the later levels.

This is mine, there is still a little bit of mouse clicking for some things, but not too much because i have all my important skills in 1-6 and ctrl+1 - ctrl+6

Also for the record, CTRL+SHIFT+F will show framerate, though it's a bit hard to read since it's half over your companion frame and really small lol

Though yeah you've got the idea :) consider the F-keys as well, it's really an extra 4 or so keys that are easily in reach

WASD is essential. I'm finding it not so necessary to have my fingers on them during a fight as a caster, but back in my WoW days playing a rogue it was PARAMOUNT to be mobile while fighting haha

 sarcasm?

Anyone having trouble installing the patch? Mine keeps asking to repair and then failing...

Yeh i have already quit TOR, got bored lvl 50 in the 1st week the game was put out the PVP is boring only so many times u can rape the repubes B4 it gets old, once they bring out new BG's and rated stuff for PVP ill start playing again, lvl 50 Mara on Wound in the force Genacidal is toons name.

Nah not sarcastic at all. If I didn't think being able to strafe/move quickly while fighting was essential, I'd rebind even more keys and reposition my hand somewhere I could use more abilities without clicking.

    • Welcome to SAU, what are you looking at buying?
    • I checked the injectors again (1 and 2, since they’re easiest to access) to make sure they weren’t clogged. Even though the entire fuel system had been cleaned, I wanted to be certain. Everything looked clean, so I reinstalled and connected everything. When I started the car to confirm everything was okay, it immediately revved up high, so I shut it off straight away. I checked to see if I’d missed a vacuum hose or something, but everything was connected. On the second attempt, the car ran without the high idle, but I noticed a distinct “compressed air” sound coming from the engine bay. Tracing the sound, I pushed injector #6 forward slightly and the noise stopped — it turned out it wasn’t seated properly, despite the fuel rail being bolted down. While holding it in place, the car idled steadily without stalling and ran for over 5 minutes. At this point, I pulled all six injectors out just in case I hadn’t seated them correctly or dirt had gotten onto the O-rings. Unfortunately, I discovered that I had damaged 3 out of 6 injectors (the OEM 270cc ones) during installation. So yes, this was my fault. Since only the pintle caps were damaged, I’ve ordered a Fuel Injector Service Kit from NZEFI to refurbish them. In the meantime, I reinstalled my new injectors – the car now idles fine for over 15 minutes without stalling. I have not attempted to drive it so far. It’s not perfect yet, as it hesitates when the throttle is pressed, but it’s a big improvement. Unplugging the IACV with the new injectors idles at around 800rpm, even with the IACV screw tightened fully. But this is probably due to tune.
    • I wanted to try and preserve the front bumper as long as possible, they're not cheap and are made to order in Japan. Taking inspiration from my previous K11 Micra build where I made an undertray for the Impul bumper, I did the same for this BN Sports bumper but a little slimmed down.  This time round I only made a 'skid plate' (if that's the correct wording/term) for just the bumper surface area, the Micra version covered the gap like an undertray. Starting off with a sheet of mild steel approx. 0.9mm thick 4ft x 2ft in size. I traced around the bumper, cut it out and cleaned the edges. Luckily I was able to get two halves from one piece of metal In the video I installed it as is, but I've since then I've removed it to spray and add a rubber edging trim. The rubber trim is suitable for 1-2mm and it's a really nice tight fit. The bolts had to be loosened due to the plates being too tight against the bumper, the trim wouldn't push on I used some stainless M6 flat headed bolts for a flusher finish (rather than hex heads poking down), I believe this style fastener is used for furniture too incase you struggle to source some. The corner's are a little wider, but this may be an advantage incase I get close to bumping it  The front grill got some attention, finally getting round to repairing it. Upon removal one fixing pulled itself out of the plastic frame, one side is M8 that fixes inside of the frame, where as the other side is M5. Not knowing I could get replacements, I cut down an M8 bolt, threaded it inside the frame along with a decent amount of JB Weld.  The mesh was replaced to match the bumper. One hole on the bonnet/hood had to be drilled out to 8mm to accommodate the new stud, once the glue had set it could be refitted. I think the reason the grill was double meshed was to hide the horn/bonnet latch (which makes sense) but I much prefer it matching the bumper Bumper refitted and it's looking much better IMO The Youtube video can be seen here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bVZP35io9MA
