I'm going the next stage on the GTR & fitting some HKS GT2530's. But wanted some opinions regarding:

1. Injectors?

2. Fuel Pump?

3. Fuel Pressure regulator?

4. Anything else you can think of?

The car currently makes 270rwkw, & I'm considering going with the following items...

Confirmed= HKS GT2530's

Confirmed= HKS EVC 3 Boost Controller

Confirmed= Z32 AFMS

UNconfirmed= 600cc or SARD 700cc injectors? Noticed that some injectors need to be modified to fit, some need fuel rails etc etc.. No idea :rolleyes:

UNconfirmed= Fuel pump Bosch 975, 040, 044?? No idea :)

UNconfirmed= Intercooler.. most likely keeping the stock unit

Currently, the internals are stock bar the Adjustable Cam Gears, & i have the following mods.

Power FC

Exhaust

Dumps=Stock

Front Pipes= twin 2.5" into 3"

Cat= Stock

Cat Back= 80mm

Once the upgrade is confirmed will I have any issue's with stock internals pushing above 300kw at the wheel?

You are following the exact route i had. I had no problems with going well above 300kw.

Nismo AFMs instead of Z32s.

Sard 720cc injectors, don't bother with the 600s.

Single 044 in tank.

High flow cat.

Stock cooler and engine.

Talk to Ben or the boys @ ICE, they will answer all the questions you may have.

Yeh, their doing the work me, rapt big time they're all awesome. Just wanted to see if others went this way..

Why Nizmo AFM's??

What sort of power are you making @ what boost?

With the 720cc, any major mods? does going bigger effect fuel economy "not that I'm worried coz I only get about 300 out of tank 70%hwy" just heard it stuffs idle & economy.

They fit the factory airbox and plug into the loom without any modification. They are also brand new.

My dyno graph is in OZGTR's thread about the GTRS turbos.

They fit staright in the stock fuel rail. No different to 600s (or the factory injectors) when it comes to idle or economy, just a bit more headroom.

i just fitted a nismo 280lt hour pump tp my r34 gtr.

same as factory.. fits in with no mods.. about 500 bucks but easy to fit no cutting or modding pipes and clamps etc......

should be good for close on 600hp i have heard....

sell your gtr pump for 200 to 300 and the nismo one is good value......

cheers...

Mark,

where did you get the pump from & what injectors are you using? did you end up sorting out PFC issue?

I heard the SARD 700's need some mods to be fitted.. what sort of mods? Reason is, I have an R33, & expecting my R34 GTR late this year, so I would prefer to swap my mods over from the 33 to 34 when it comes, & return the 33 "as" original as possible.

If u have that much $$ to splash around y not get a full twin kit with new s/s manifolds and something like twin 2835's, motec management, stock pump intank with swirl pot then the 044, 1000cc injectors, stick a 75 hp nos kit in there and some JUN internals, trust 9 litre sump, dog box. :D

Great Idea, not sure about the dog box though :D ...

Mark,

Thanks for the info about the SARDS. I Just found out that SARD are discontinuing the single spray & now have a Brass Pintle Cap Dual Spray in the 650cc, 700cc & 850cc for the RB26DETT. It apparantkey specifically designed fot multicams???

Do you think there's any real difference, coz they reckon rather than a large single spray the dual splits the spray, spraying it directly into its path?

  • 11 months later...

Interested in this, the Greenline site is doing a deal on the 700cc sards at the moment. These I assume are the singles? Also they suggest that some lubricant... is required to fit the injectors in the stock rail.. I think they go in but I gather they are a *tight-fit*

Good price for the sards tho IMO.

    • Nah that is not actually a lot. Just painting my GTR frontend and the little bits to make sideskirts/nismo flare pieces work correctly/fit on the sedan/mount up correctly came to about $7000. Is it a lot? Sure. None of this is economical. Economy would be shelling the car and buying a 2010 Corolla to commute in. The perspective of all of this is different.
    • I have the re003s’ on my 06 XT Forester Turbo and I highly rate them for street wet and dry
    • I don't see any issues here. I've been saying all along this is a big job, the price reflects that.  When the car comes back perfect I'm sure it will feel like money well spent.
    • Remember, take original quote. Double it. Then add a bit more. It's how any project goes.
    • So, I started this repair and got as far as "fixing" the holes with some fibreglass. God all those years working on boats came back quickly. I decided I'd reach out to some rust guys just to see what they would say about it. I came across a guy about 40 mins away and went to see him. He said the windscreen needs to come out, that there might be some more bits around the windscreen and he'd quote them at the time. But his quote was $300 to remove and replace windscreen and $3k for the damage he can see. He said he could respray the roof for $1200 and the bonnet for another $800 (somebody has previously rattle canned it, its horrendous). This is $5300 + any small additional bits. It's a lot, I get that and the name of one of my fave youtube channels 'Not Economically Viable' comes to mind.  I'm not being financially rational, but I've taken him up on the quote. He's opening a new shop in November with more room, so we're waiting for that. I'll leave the currently missing headliner out until then. I'm looking forward to it being fixed and having the paint looking nice again (lots of clear coat issues on the roof too). / flame suit on.
