just wondering if anyone knows any details about the ALLSET GTR that was around in 2004.

i have recently bought it and am trying to find out as much about it as possible.

would like to know what ecu it ran, as it now runs a ems 8860 but dosent seem to be making the power that it used to.

it now makes 360kwatw.

i would like to get it back up around 400.

was thinking autronic or vipec, but from what i can work out it used to run a link.

cheers

ECU wont really effect top end power. difference between a good ECU and a cheap nugget is in the drivability of the car. if its making less power then its been wound back.

from what i've read the 8860 is actually a very good computer, but ems is ofen overlooked for other more common brand names

i know plenty of it, i tuned it to over 400kw at all fours on the dyno, what would you like to know.

Its a very very nice car plenty spent

excellent mate,

if you know, i would like to know the specs of the engine, what was used, bottem end and top end.

and the ecu that was used.

was the 400 kw on pump fuel? just trying to figure out why its not making that power anymore. It recently made 360kwatw on 21 psi. and thats the lowest boost setting.

and why the ecu was changed?

it has a missfire, and when i had it tuned the tuner told me it could be the ecu wiring causing the problem.( sounds like he was trying to sell me a new one) any ideas ????

so dunno what to do, maybe try another workshop and see if they can find the problem.

but yeah, awsome car absolutley stoked with it!!!!!!!

excellent mate,

if you know, i would like to know the specs of the engine, what was used, bottem end and top end.

the engine was built by advan in silver water, as far as i know it is a full motor except rods,

trust everything, pistons, cams, gears, pumps the lot, the cams im sure were 272

the head was ported and modified to suite the cams, im sure the springs were changed as well

as said BIG dollars spent

and the ecu that was used.

originally link, i had it removed in favor for ems, more load points rpm and boost levels were able to be acheived,

had minor cold start issues but i think we resolved it

was the 400 kw on pump fuel? just trying to figure out why its not making that power anymore. It recently made 360kwatw on 21 psi. and thats the lowest boost setting.

i think it was 410kw at all fours on 30psi, a couple runs were done, the engine was very srtong but i didnt want to keep pushing on those levels with no rods

and why the ecu was changed?

i didnt like the tuning, low boost levels and low rpm, also i think it had an issu just before we replaced it

it has a missfire, and when i had it tuned the tuner told me it could be the ecu wiring causing the problem.( sounds like he was trying to sell me a new one) any ideas ????

the ecu wiring was done very well ( i didnt do it) but had no issues with it, it didnt backfire with me at all, and pulled dadi like a chariot was osume

so dunno what to do, maybe try another workshop and see if they can find the problem.

but yeah, awsome car absolutley stoked with it!!!!!!!

who has been playing with it, maybe just needs a good tune

murcury motorsports in brisbane recently tuned it.

they didnt want to go past 21 psi unless it was running race fuel, said it would detonate.

so your saying it has standard rods??

seems silly to rebuild a motor and not do the rods!!

cheers for the help mate

yeah i agree with the rods but the owner was misguided in the engine build

(in my opinion) i would have thrown rods at it, he later regreted it.

who did you buy it from, the car who built it ? i dont think it needs race fuel

i like to run them on whats easily available and go from there

bought it from a bloke in sydney, he didnt drive it much at all, i think he said he drove it about 5 times the whole time he owned it (2years).

and he bought it from the guy who paid to have it built, which was done by ADVAN performance in silverwater.

yeah i run it on 98 but the guys were pretty adammint that it would need race fuel for higher boost.

still trying to sort out the missfire issue though.

only getting about 250km from a set of plugs, and when i replace them they are usually all different colours??

    • So, I put my boat on a boat. First of all, I'm going to come out and say it. Why is Tasmania not considered a holy goal, an apex that all road-legal modified cars go to, to experience? This place is an absolute wonderland of titanic proportions. If people are already getting club runs for once in a lifetime 30 person cruises to Tassy then I've never seemed to see it. It is like someone replaced the entire place with an idyllic wonderland for cars, and all of the people living there with paid actors who are kind, humble, and friendly. Dear god. After doing a lap of almost all of the place I've found that it's a great way to find out all of the little things that the car isn't doing quite right and a great way to figure it all out. All in all, I drove for 4 hours a day for a week and nothing broke. I didn't even need to open the engine bay. This is by all means a great success, but it has left me with a list of things to potentially address. I also now have a 3D printed wheel fitment tool which annoyingly hasn't got any threads in it to actually assemble it. I might be able to tape it together to check the sizing I actually want to use, but it'll likely involving pulling the shocks out to properly measure travel at least at the front, and probably raise the car while I'm at it, at least in the rear. I scraped on quite a few things and I'm not sure how else to go about it. I was taking anything with a bump at what felt like 89 degree angles. And address those 10 other tasks. And wash the car. God damn it is dirty. And somehow, the weather was perfect the entire time - And because I was on the top of Mt Wellington it turns out it was very much about to freeze up there. I did something I typically never do and took some photos up there in what must have been -10 and the foggy felt like suspended ice, rather than mere fog. If you own a car in Australia, you owe it to yourself to do it.
    • Damn that was hilarious, and a bit embarrassing for skylines in general 😂 vintage car life ey. That R33 really stomped. Pretty entertaining stuff
    • Hi, I have a r32 gtr transmission. Does any of you guys have an idea how much power it will hold with the billet center plate and stock gearset? At what power level and use did yours brake with or without billet plate? Thanks, Oystein Lovik
    • Saw this replica police car based on a Mitsubishi Starion XX parked next to a 'police box' (it's literally a box) in Hirohata, Himeji City in Hyogo prefecture the other day. It's owned by Morii-san who is a local Mitsubishi Starion enthusiast. According to a local radio station blog post, he always wanted to make a police car himself based on ones he saw in his favourite Manga comics.  As it's illegal to modify a car to look like a police car and drive on the road, Morii-san tried many times to get permission from Aboshi police station headquarters nearby. They refused initially by after they got tired of that they granted him permission. However, the car can only be displayed on private property and obviously can't be registered as long as the police livery is present. The car was completed at a cost of 1.5 million yen (US$ 10,000) in addition to the car cost. A location was chosen outside Hirohata Police box where the car can easily been seen from the street. Morii-san has two other Starion road cars, both widebody GSR-VRs.
