Hi guys well i got my tune done and im very very very very impressed! This turbo pulls so hard im always stuck to my bloody seat, I got what i wanted, i wanted 251kws at 18psi that was my goal for drifting at the track. This turbo is capable of doing 280kws, Toa from hypegear has the same mods as me with this turbo and he got 300kws+, but i didnt want that! my mods are the usual... Power FC,FMIC,Pod,Stock BOV,splirtfires coils,etc... Thanks to Tao from hypegears and Trent for tunning my car!!

here are some graphs.

its and adjustable actuator 1.4bar one i think, but my greddy profec spec b-II is connected to it... its not doing much.. lol.

With this highflow, it can do 280+ .... .63 raear housing.

Good result there should have some fun now, and yes you will get sick of it and want more ahaha im on 270 for a couple of weeks and am bored now.

300+ from a highflow? with what housings?

good result, looks a little late onto boost tho, what b/c you using?

Its not late onto boost thats just how it is because its a 3576 hi flow, its about right from the estimation Stao gave before on when it hits full boost.

Agreed, even with a .63 it should be earlier. GT30's with .82's are on about that (and make 280rwkw/17-18psi)

Not sure how it's going to crack 300rwkw if its 18psi/250rwkw... It's clearly showing a fair bit of restriction.

Good result either way, just need to ensure you keep the RPM's up a bit higher.

Keep that motor serviced well and a sane rev limits :whistling:

heheh thanks, its always serviced by me with all the good stuff :whistling:

ahhh sweet thanks for your graphs, i got the same turbo but in .82 and on a RB30. you have just inspired me to finally pull my finger out and put my cam gears on and fix the timing issues because yours is coming on a fair bit earlier even with the RB25. But damn the bang for buck you get with these turbo's is friggen awsome. did you use a VBAND setup also?? I think 1 suggestion for stao would be for them to use a 3" VBAND instead of the 2.5".

Chris

id be playing with your boost control man, my cheapy kkr430 /dsr430 makes 14psi @ 3500rpm , actuator setup to open @ 9psi, gain @ 50%, alot of preload on the internal wastegate.

different turbo, this high flow has a very open rear wheel so the 0.63 does'nt choke it. There is no more respone to be had with a controller or preload... we tried. This turbo with around 20psi will crack the 280-295 rkw no issues.

That should be obvious just looking at the boost graph, any more preload and it will spike too much.

ah sorry mate I just re read that yours has been put into a highflow. Thats awsome, mine is a complete new turbo that Stao made up for me. V band is like a pipe clamp flange on the exhasut housing, instead of using a 6 bolt flange like nissan use on the turbo.

regards

    • I thought Australia got rid of the "drag dodgy fuel up to 91 RON with ethanol", which is why all E10 advertise as "up to 94 RON" ? Anyway I put E10/91 in the missus' Mazda because she empties the tank weekly, when all my cars get 98RON. tl;dr - turbo - 98 RON, if you can't afford that, sell it and get a commuter car (or tune your car for 91, which no one does).
    • Yeah i found that alot of parts can be wrong or "very" hard to get the real right one. I already bought some brakes years ago on me "old" GT calipers and they were wrong too 😄  I told them too. Even send them pictures...but they said "EBC catalogue has them on my car... So i dont know what their answer will be. I call monday them and let them know that they are really not on my car. If they were they would be already on a car...
    • Welcome to Skyline ownership. Yes, it is entirely possible parts websites get things wrong. There's a whole world of inaccuracies out there when it comes to R34 stuff (and probably 33 and 32). Lots of things that are 'just bolt on, entirely interchangable' aren't. Even between S1 and S2 R34's. Yes they have a GTT item supposedly being 296mm. This is incorrect. I would call whoever you got them from and return them and let them know the GTT actually uses 310mm rotors. Depending on where you got them from your experience and success will obviously vary.
    • Hi...a bit a "development" on the brakes. I spoke to the guys where i get brakes from...and they are saying that 296mm EBC are for R34 GT-T. I then went to their site: https://www.ebcbrakes.com/vehicle/uk-row/NISSAN/Skyline (R34)/ and search for my car(R34 GT 1998 - it has GTT brakes) and it show me this USR1229 number and they are rly 296mm rotors... So now iam rly confused... The rotors i have now on the car are 310mm asi shown... So where is the problem? Does the whole EBC got it wrong or my calipers are just...idk know what?
    • Oh What the hell, I used to get a "are you sure you want to reply, this thread is XX months old" message. Maybe a software update remove that. My bad.
