VSPEC32
Hi All Just wondering if there'd be interest in those who've got GT-R's would be willing to partake in a bit of MC Motorsport action this season. We'd be looking at a team of 4 plus someone who would be in reserve should one of the main team can't make it. It starts soon: DATES: 8-Feb-04 7-Mar-04 11-Apr-04 9-May-04 Finals 19-Jun-04 COSTS: It is $55 per round. You must pay for round 1 and round 4 upfront and preferably before the 1st round occurs. So, if you've got an R32, R33 or R34 GT-R, let us know if you'd be interested. VSPEC32
Yeah, sorry. You're right. CAMS 2S license is required for competing in the MC Motorsport Challenge. You'll need to be a part of a CAMS approved car club such as AFARCC and then apply for your CAMS license (there's an office in Dog Swamp). And yes you can compete on the temp license they give you once you pay. I also think you can fill out a form for 2S license on the day. Denver
You can apply for your cams licence when you sign up with afarcc, and they will submit the paper work etc for you.. From memory a l2s licence has come down a few bucks this year too.. VSPEC32
Is there no one with a GT-R in this group who'd like to do a bit of competitive driving? If not, how about anyone with a Skyline who'd be interested in committing themselves to a season of MC? Micko
Brendan, I'd stick my hand up but...I can't drive well enough to compete at this stage. Maybe next year. Nizmo
yeah i have to apologise but due to distinct lack of funds .... maybe next year. Pity cos it would be a lot of fun. Micko - its more for fun than serious competition ..... thats how most of the other car clubs are looking at it anyway. Sumo BNR32
I will be keen when my datto is back together! should be April.... Might be a bit laggy for MC but much fun never the less! VSPEC32
Thanks Sumo. Maybe we look at going in for next season then. Micko, as for not having enough experience isn't really an excuse with MC, as Nizmo said, it's more fun than competitive. But then again, we felt County Dump Racing were playing for Sheep Stations a couple of times last year. It was my first bit of 'competitive' driving when I did it last year. I went in thinking I can only get better. Unfortunately my tyres got worse - so although I had a great time going sideways, my times didn't get much better ; ) So we have a tentative team for possible entry next season (maybe) - Nizmo, Micko, Sumo and myself. Any other possible takers.
