If by internals you mean the interior im pretty sure your dash and seats are good for 800hp however after that they tend to spontaniously combust at random..

And you will also need to change your guages, its a good idea to put them on the bonnet as well

And you will most definately need racing harnesses that dont clash with your flame suit...

Yeah i thought it would handle 1000 too till myt guages exploded and I burst into flames oneday for no apparent reason,.maybe i had a nawz leak...This is why i stress the use of a quality flame suit...

If 450 can be acheived safely then its safe to say you could no doubt squeeze 500 out of it..

But like i said before how long do you want it to last..If you got the money just do it...

With all the supporting mods, a ZOOM feature car made 630rwhp from an internally stock RB25 neo.

But it won't last at all. For reliable power, I'd suggest no more than 450.

It also depends how your engine makes this power (boost, fuel type, headwork/cams etc).

i.e. 20psi from a GT3076 compared to 15psi from a GT3582, obviously 15psi puts less strain on the motor's internals.

KYP have warned me not to push my engine past 350rwhp if I want it to be reliable. Things are starting to feel the pinch at that stage. You could probably push 400-450, but I would be nervous every time I hit full boost at that power level on standard internals...

Live life on the edge boys, if your engine aint on the verge of shooting a rod you aint living.

I like this thread.

Right on,

It gunna cost 10-15k just for supporting mods, so if it does blow 2k for another engine is poo change..

turbo 2000+

injectors 1000+

top mount manifold 1500+

cooler 1000+

exhaust 1000+

inlet plenum 1000+

coilpacks 500+

Ecu+ tuning 3000+

Clutch 1000+

other assoretd bits n pieces that you never factor in to your original budget 2000+

Punching a hole through your block and having oil and coolant spew out all over the road in spectacular fashion while showing off in front of your mates....

PRICELESS

    • I think in the modern era we live in, if I were converting a hydro lifter head to solid, particularly when chasing revs, I'd be seeing what I could do to use shimless buckets. Those of us with Neos usually have this persistent niggling fear of a shim getting spat out and ruining everything. Shim-over is...yucky that way. At least the Tomei kit appears to be conventional, but it would still be nice if they'd decided to go shimless.
    • Ok guys thank you very much. GCG highflow it is then 🙂
    • forgot to mention that when it does this it does not kill the engine, but I have not kept the pedal down long enough to let it, as I see no reason to beat up on it as its got to be something simple, small and dumb causing this.  And as soon as I let off pedal, the engine returns to its normal super smooth operation and rpms re-stabilize quickly, once below 4k.
    • neither stumble or cut really seem to be an appropriate term....hard to explain its like a rev limiter but at 4k, but it violently shakes engine and entire vehicle as the rpms will not rise over 4k, even with slow acceleration. as soon as it hits 4k, it sounds like entire spark is lost entirely. plugs were 1.1 which I used as such, but later put in new plugs gapped down to .8 changed back after issue arose when I replaced the coils, still does it with either plug gap...damn and it was all running so good.
    • Oh how times have changed! I actually lean it out relative to my water/methanol injector duty cycle. The methanol adds a lot of fueling and you can then lean it out even more due to reduced knock.
