muchogarcia34
Hey guys, to make a long story short I bought the wrong clutch for my R34 GTT. Got a push instead of a pull!!!!! So my question is where can you get pull/push convertors from? Are they any good? And how much? I have it for sale but if I can't sell it I'll go down this road, I'm just nervous about using convertors, don't know much about them or if they're any good. If anyone can shed some light that would be great Cheers Daniel Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/330446-pullpush-convertors/ Share on other sites
Hanaldo
Is there such a thing? Where did you buy it from? Can't you just take it back and swap it over? Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/330446-pullpush-convertors/#findComment-5367353 Share on other sites
muchogarcia34
I've heard of them before but never seen one. I bought it off a dude over east, so I can't return it because it was a while ago. Basically he assured me that it was a pull type and that he had it on his R34 GTT............... but once installed it is clearly a push..... Deano45
Buy a pull type cover Or swap the clutch fork and slave cylinder over to push type. Should be cheaper than a converter. I've done this on a GTR box and used the parts from an RB25 box, So I can't see why it wouldn't work on your one. Keep away from the converters unless it is specifically made for that clutch. Been down that road already with an OS Giken pull to push converter. Had one for my OS clutch but when I changed to the NPC it wouldn't clear. muchogarcia34
Where can you get a pull type cover from? I've had a look around but couldn't find any. With changing it to push, are the mounting positions on the gearbox be different for the slave? ash_29
Depends on the clutch, i know for a fact that OS Giiken clutches require an OS pull to push convertor approx $300. Let me know if you have an OS clutch and maybe we can work something out as i have one that is brand new. If this isn't the case and you can't be bothered messing around, i would think about selling the clutch and then just buying a pull style clutch.
