ok no one replied to my other thread.. hopefully more luck here.

im looking at this shell in QLD. im in Sydney so obviously viewing it is tricky.

ive had the guy selling it send me a few pics, and asked plenty of questions but he hasn't really inspected it since purchasing it..

The front end is super straight.. awesome.

The rear im not so sure, as you can see by the pic ive posted the taillights sit in a awkward position in relation to the rear bar. ive tried messing around with the dead shell ive currently got but haven't been able to replicate the way it sits..

The rear bar doesn't appear to have previous damage so im lost as to whats going on.. maybe im being pedantic but the plate holder looks a bit bent..

basically curious to know what other peoples opinions are ?

Don't be shy now...

the boot lock needs adjusting im aware of that..

im not sure if you see what im seeing, the rear bar bows up towards the taillights which it shouldn't.

unfortunately Cefiro's are'nt disposable items in OZ like they are in NZ.

what it should look like..

Nic the one shot ive seen of your white ceffy it looks pretty good, i havent seen the project ceffy however.

the POS shell in the driveway lines up quite well, i cant remember what the old cefiro was like though.. all the pics i can find of cefiro rear ends look pretty good.

My guess is a bent reo, Ive got a bent reo and its put the holes that the factory bar clips into out of whack. So the whole left side on my rear bar doesnt clip into it. If it is clipped in it will sit all messed up. Ask the seller to take a few pics of the rear with the rear bar off and take some pics at diff angles of the reo to see how it sits.

that's the plan, whats the beaver panel like on your car ? (beaver=panel the lights and garnish panel bolt onto) did it bend anything else on your car ?

cheers for your input!

Nah nothing wrong with it. The reo was bent coz i backed into a car at like point blank range haha. Pretty much just the left side of the reo was damaged. Looks like that ceff took a very light tap on the botom. I could be wrong but thats wat it looks like from the pic. Good luck with it all.

Not going to get change from 10k on a gearset installed.  $30k++ for sequential.   I know you run the risk of a damaged used one and parts are hard to get but as a street car gearbox its really hard to beat. If you enjoy a more traditional manual, its the choice no question.
