Hey SAU snappers! My work is running this comp (which means I can't enter). Thought you guys might like to enter. There's like prizes n stuff too to motivate you.

I can't accept bribes either.

Good luck. Post your entries on here so I can see who's entered (I'm not doing the selection so my bias won't affect the outcome).

Multiple entries welcome BTW

lol sidd, just spoke to the guys running the comp. Watermarks are fine in entries, but if you win then we'll own the photo, which means you'll have to provide the original with no watermark.

Is that cool?

Oh and if we decide to publish any of the entries we'll need a non watermarked version too. They'll contact you if that's the case.

No worries

Dont know which pic to enter.. hmm

enter them all. multiple entries allowed. flood em (mostly cos I wanna make the girls who do the judging whine about how hard it is picking a winner)

hahaha there'll be 40billion sau entries :worship: from 4 or 5 of us hehe.

Never had to think about a theme or anything. this will be a fun challenge for sure.

Zenon and Korey have an awesome head start, I've seen their landscape and random shots :D

so I went and told the lady who did the T&C for the comp that she was a muppet. We'll have a new T&C up tomorrow (as soon as legal gets it to me) so that it doesn't imply that we own all the photos, just that the winning one will be given exclusive rights to us to use on a cover of a book, with due credit.

I went through the archives and found something worth entering.

Sydney.

Recognisable but shot from an angle you never see. It shows sydney as being an impressive harbour city. Everything is clean, inviting and fun :worship: I'd forgotten I had this pic. lucky score!

    • Every time I pull my 3x gauges out of the console and see the crack-addict way that I did the wiring, and I just can't bring myself to tear it all apart and "make it nice", because it is currently working. In fact, the last time I was in there I probably made it worse.
    • The best part is when you own the car long enough that you look back and find your OWN ham fisted amateur shit!
    • The annoying part about neglect, is when you start to replace one thing, and find ten more broken things. Ham fisted monkey repairs you normally only find out about when trying to do something unrelated! Ha ha   Neglect you can kind of anticipate the huge costs to fix it all. Ham fistedness is normally a shock the first time your work on a new old car, as everything "looked" good before.
    • For DBA, check out their guide table here. https://dba.com.au/wp-content/uploads/2023/01/Direct_Replacement-Guide-2021.2.pdf   Additionally they have some other guides and info on how to make sure you choose the right pad.
    • Sorry, just assumed that talk of coloured pads meant EBC red/green/yellow/shit stuff. I don't know the DBA pads, but it's a reasonable bet that they will be OK. DBA make good stuff generally. Those 4000 series rotors I linked to are very good. I may well replace the RDA rotors I have with those when required.
