ye but the 350 z is a rear wheel drive not 4wd is this not an issues

what model brake kit number do i look for then for the 4wd hicas 250t rs four ?

RWD/AWD/HICAS do not matter with the brakes. ANY 350z or G35 brake kits will fit.

The M35 Stagea's (Axis, ARX, RX, RS... RWD or AWD) all have the same brake setup and, from factory, is the same as the non-brembo 350z/G35 (V35)

For that matter, 370z Akebono brakes fit (as per Chris's car) and are an awesome upgrade (if you have the wheels to fit them)

You'll find a shitload of brake kits of you Google for them... or have a look at eBay Motors ;)

yes.

Akebono, G-tech, StopTech, D-spec are available on eBay Motors. 4/6/8 pot fronts depending on brand and 2/4/6 pot rears depending on kit.

Apologies for the hijack Dale

All good guys.thumbsup.gif

Been on the phone with Wayne today, once the NM35 Sway bars are officially a stock item, ( Jules is booked in for his to be fitted Friday) we will be able to put up some group buy details for Uprated Bars, Ball links, mounts and possibly FRONT ball links and mounting hardware!

I'm busier than a one legged man in an arse kicking competition with this right now, but rest assured, a week or so from now, I should have a tonne of bits for you all to bust a nut over, so save your pennies!

They'll all be competitively priced and you'll be able to get hold of bits as you need them so it won't break the bank.thumbsup.gif

Cheers, Dale.

G'day Dust, You didn't happen to speak to Wayne at Whiteline recently? He mentioned yesterday someone from NZ had been on to him.whistling.gif

No worries mate, once we get it all the pricing sorted, I'll find out the most competitive way to get the parts to you, and then I can give you some options.

I'm sure there's a way to do it without huge expense; possibly a bulk package to someone in NZ then distributed locally from there.

Cheers, Dale.

Another thing if you guys could answer

with coilover sets if i put my two cents in, tein super flex own all i have had a few cars with the tein super flex with edfc and they were awsome yet those cars i had builT as toys with alot of power

the stagea is more of my get to work street car ( which will still get the tlc of more power ) yet the tein suspension i think are still a bit to hard for the streets

what do you guys recomend for the stagea tein super flex for the wagon or bc gold ( i know the teins are better coilovers yet wich is better as in still comfy on the road AND GOOD SUSPENSION UPGRADE ) ?

I have the BC BR's and I've been boring everyone to death about how much I like them. They are the perfect balance between comfort & performance. Honestly, you will not buy better for anywhere near the same price.

I actually bought mine through an NZ performance shop, and they were cheaper than OZ, even after I'd shipped them back over here; I'll dig up the name tonight, the guy was great to deal with.

hey daleo did u but the bcs with the off the shelf spring rate as i was thinking you can ask suppliers to give you diiferent spring rates.

So if i have the cash i would buy tein super flex wagon but ask them for a different spring rate to soften them up , but if the bc were off the shelf standard spring rate ill just go for those and use the rest of the money for

my sway bars , links , mount brackets

what dale doesnt mention is that on the 'soft' setting they are well balanced, firm but not a harsh ride.

wind the dampers up harder and it wont move. good if you want to run a semi-slick on the track.

my BCs came with 10kg fronts and 11kg rears. however ive seen sets with 9/8 and 9/10 so you can probably order whatever you like

so withthe standard 10kg / 11kg rates , how do you find your set ?

are these the same spring rates as yours daleo

i dunno what the standard is. when he asked what spring rates i wanted. i told him double digits lol

mine are a little harsh over the small bumps. but i have the dampers wound up a little too. and got some pre-load on the front springs. the rear wallows a little. but i think i have a broken swaybar mount, and dont have the dampers firm enough.

my wife hasnt complained, so compared to my HKS hypermax pro i had on my previous S15, she loves the BCs on the M35

however i have the only set (that we know of) of dolphin freeway swaybars and a whole load of underbody bracing. this all adds to firmness

yes i have seen those dolphin freeway bars

and a whole load of under body bracing ? what else do you have under there , keen for info as its almost impossible to find nm35 parts in NZ

I’m after a nice firm ride , I hate allot of rear body roll and the m35 has that , yet all my coil over’s for my last cars where tein super flex and damn awesome kit just a little too bit bumpy for nz roads then baby came along so went from toys to a compromise of a wagon mixed with pure sex and bought the stagea

    • Seat of the pants assessment of the new intake: The car is way less "doughy" when hitting the loud pedal, especially off idle when stopped or in traffic, I did use a cheapo lazer thermal thingo to measure the temp around where the pod filter got its air, it was between 55 - 60°C, in saying this the car was shut off and not moving, so the OEM intake pipe was not supplying any fresh air to where the pod was when the car was at least moving A weird bonus was induction noise on the throttle in the cabin increased a bit,  I was worried that I was actually going to lose some of that induction noise I love so much, outside though, when I got the daughter to do a WOT drive by pass for me, the induction noise has increased alot when on the throttle, not quite ITB doort, but well up there I'm extremely happy with the results and have been exploring the country roads in the region  As for house mods: 1.New front fence is up and is awesome, it really upgraded how the joint looks from the street, and the added security is nice 2. Electricians have replace some interior lights, and with more lighting in the garage, a few new motion detecting lights out the front above the garage, front room, and at the front door, which I have already found heaps helpful coming and going, also now has fancy pants CCTV all round the house The only hold point for power though is the solar and batteries due to supply issues, although this will happen over the next few weeks 3. I have done a heap of landscaping out the front and I'm almost ready to do a new small retaining wall with some nice blocks to replace the brick and cemented in rocks around the raised garden beds cemented in river stone "was the fashion at the time" the house was built. I currently have a pallet of retaining wall blocks and 2 bulka bags of 20mm blue metal to replace the wood chip that is in the raised garden beds around the house 4. I now have 3 big raised garden beds for out the back to grow some vegetables, about 70cm high, 200cm long and 100cm wide 5. My 2 compost bins are already pretty full with brown, green and kitchen waste from the landscaping I'vedone so far, but they will probably take a few months to break down, so anything else that gets chopped, trimmed, and kitchen waste will just start filling the base of the raised garden beds to about 30cm before I start throwing 40cm of good compost, and stuff, for the vegetables to grow in, I'll need a few ton of compost and soil, but the local supplier can sent me bulka bags of the stuff Basically the logs, wood chips and a few strategically placed rocks for drainage, will give the beds some good organic materials down low to break down over time, and they will hold moisture during the warmer months to save the water in my big arse water tank if we don't get alot of rain So, all in all, the car and house mods are going well, and I'm really enjoying being retired, I sleep in too 0700 and slowly plod around inside until I feel like actually doing anything, and only work in the yard for as long as want, which has actually been alot over the last few weeks,  although when you look at it, it seems that not a huge amount of work has been done,  until I look at the before I started the work pics Happy days and good times indeed
    • hahaha yeah. Plan is to get side skirts and probably just rear pods. But going to do them one-by-one. I've got a set that I really like from RHDJapen, but that one isn't shipped to AU. So need to find someone who can get it for me
