You want tyre choice or tyre sizing?

Tyre choice I went for Kumho's as they are an all round decent tyre.

Tyre sizing, what ppl have mentioned above.

Any information will help what would be the best tyre for around $375-$400 each im not looking at spending big $$

KU36 is within that price range. I'd go 285/35 or 275/40. Just guesstimate. I dont think you'll need any guard work but it normal for drivers side to scrub when doing a full lock right turn unless you have adjustable rods.

I had a quick look on the Kuhmo Australia website and they dont list a ku36 in a 285/35/18?

Any other options?

I dont want the stetch look.

Thanks :P

Hmmm... yea from the looks of it. Even Federals doesnt make 285s. Maybe try calling some tyre shops. I'm running Bridgestone Potenza RE050A 285/30/18 and I think they're way too exp...

Like what Brandon said, that will get you a set of decent tyres.

You might have to head down to your mechanic / tyre place to see if they can sort out a set.

Don't have to be KU36's, anything in the Kumho Ecsta range will do you fine.

I assume your car is for street use..?

Depending on how low you ride height is, that is when you need to worry about guard work.

Only roll / flare your guards if you want the Hellaflush look, which I assume is not what you want, cuz to go Hellaflush, you need to stretch your tyres.

As long as you fill out your guards and the ride height / wheel arch sits just above the tyre, you will be fine.

You got fully adjustable coilovers?

Yea my car will mainly be used for street, i wont be looking at having the car heaps low just at a nice height and i will be using Greedy type s coilovers.

Ill ring around and get a few prices on 285/35/18 in the Kuhmo Ecsta range.

Thanks for all the help! :P

18 x 10.5 is a custom sizing?

So you take it to a wheel specialist and they re-widen the wheel?

I bought the wheels through Jesse Streeter and i was told there isn't stock available and had to be manufactures in that size.

Ok so you ordered wheels from him and he is getting the custom made up for you before he sends it over from Japan?

Ah ok, I get you now.

Worth the wait I guess... :P

Or you could have got the next size that was available to that and use a small spacer...

I didn't really want to use spacers as its a bit of mucking around i just wanted something i could put straight on and look good

It's worth the wait as im still waiting for the car itself! :D

    • Don't even try to run it on the stock ECU if you're going to have the boost controller bring boost above ~10 psi. I've already told you that. If you use the Nistune ECU, you will need to CAREFULLY read the available documentation for Neo tuning, and read some threads on the Nistune forums, to discover the various things you have to do to prevent the ECU from going bananas when the boost is too high. The is a table associated with th boost sensor that must be modified to prevent it from shitting the bed. This is just one of the things that you will need to do to the tune in Nistune, because the Neo turbo ECU will be expecting to see a number of things (such as the TCS) that are not there, and you have to block the DTCs on those. It is totally not surprising to me that you are having the problems that you are, but the solutions to these problems have been known for >15 years. So just get it done.
    • Hi. Sry iam not a mechanic and iam not at the car atm so i dont know 100% but they told they measure those and even try to change those. AFM they have two. Coils are new a they have my old one too. Plugs too. ECU...we have 25 NEO stock and Nistune 25 NEO.   But i dont know if any one those could be the problem and why/if/what can cause this, Only thing they did not check is fuel...but that walbro 255 is new(like 1,5 years)... That fuel pressure gauge idk...but i let them know Any suggestions?   EDIT: how can they know if it is like you say he ECU pull power when it reaches a specific boost level that is too high? Tha car has boost controler
    • Can you clarify what you mean by boost cut, do you mean it misfires both when under load (driving) and when stationary and out of gear? Or does the ECU pull power when it reaches a specific boost level that is too high (boost control issue)? Does it occur at idle with no throttle? When you say "the ECU is OK", what ECU is it and why do you think it is OK? Have you used the NEO ECU, and if so do you have a MAP sensor attached? Same for the AFM, why do you think it is OK? Do you have any way to put a fuel pressure gauge on it (even just a mechanical one between the fuel filter and fuel rail)?
