Shortened end tanks or core? End tanks I could do...

If you need the core shortened in length it will be a big job, Race Radiators in Dandy may be able to help, not cheap tho.

Can you take a photo with what you want done marked?

yeah though it may be a big job, scratch that then..

Will workout cheaper and easier if i just buy a 450x300..

May still need end tanks modded though..

I got no aircon and would like to fit it in the sport in front of the radiator and shorten the pipework considerably, ideally could probably fit about 450x400..

I have a 450 x 300 here if you want it, $100.

So after reading your post i realized i hadn't thought about just modifying the tanks, So when i got home i got out the tape measure, then made up a cardboard cut out and as it turns out, if cut of the inlets its a perfect fit which means i just have to modify the inlets on the tanks....Its a tight fit but the best bit is the tanks wont block the radiators much this way..

If i chop off the 3inch inlets and weld 2.5 inch ones on an angle the on the face so (with some gentle persuasion) they will fit through

and here..

then it just a matter of joining this pipe

And the inlet pipe from turbo is almost a straight pipe, maybe a slight bend..

I have a heap of spare pipe here, As i originally was mounting it in the normal position

If you think you can do it and your keen mate ill happily reimburse your efforts.. :)

I notice you do exhaust work as well :)

    • Nice car! I’m glad folks in the US have gotten past the FnF and are buying real cool cars like the 260RS I was with a bunch of mates in Portland about a year ago and spotted a green Stagea (just a regular 2.5T AWD) parked about 2 blocks away and they were like “a what?” So I made a bet with them for a round of beers and said “ok one of you run down there and tell me if the steering wheel is on the correct side” 5 mins later the American comes trudging back up the hill and goes “he’s right guys. Ok what beer do you want?”
    • Should replace OR drop the tank, give it's good clean. Might be worth replacing that entire fuel level/pump/cradle thing with this: https://frenchysperformancegarage.com/products/fpg-s13-180sx-r32gtst-single-pump-hanger-kit-billet-hat-6-v3-fpg-089?gQT=2
    • Thank you so much for the help
    • Yes it is ATF. I quote @Duncan "it takes a good synthentic auto trans fluid like Castrol Transmax Z" It's not a diff. It's a transfer case. Totally different thing. Yes, fluid will come out the sender hole. No you do not really need to drain it. Just pull the old, quickly poke the new, clean up and top up. But realistically, you should probably take the opportunity to change it anyway.
    • Hey all. I’m looking on replacing my speed sensor on my R33 GTR. Will the center differential need to be drained, and if so, the center diff uses ATF fluid D? I found information on the transmission, front diff and rear diff. Can’t find a for sure answer for the center diff. Any help will be greatly appreciated.
