R.3.2.G.T.R
tried to search but too many threads on rear cambers what i would like to know is if the factory r32 gtr allows any rear camber adjustment my rear drivers side tyre has significant camber wear on the inside whereas the passenger side is normal, i would like to correct the driver side camber without buying aftermarket gear Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/333403-factory-rear-camber-adjustment/ Share on other sites
Equinox
Sure does. There's an eccentric cam washer on the rear upper arm. Undo the locking nut and then rotate the bolt to move the arm in and out. Equinox
Screenshot and upload to ImageShack? I do all my alignments at home after having some bad experiences with alignment places. Nothing more accurate than fishing line and a good ruler if you set up your datum system properly. CabbageMS
Sorry for digging this up but is there a similar system for the front suspension? I can't seem to find anything in the manual that suggests the front susp can be adjusted for camber? djr81
The answer for a standard car is no. The front is fixed. Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/333403-factory-rear-camber-adjustment/#findComment-5853344 Share on other sites
eightsixboy
Just buy some front camber arms, there cheap enough and they will more then likely be rooted and require replacement anyways. I thought you'd get more then 1 deg on the rear? I adjust my rear to max neg to squeeze my wheels in and there was a huge difference in camber when fully adjusted. djr81
Just buy some front camber arms, there cheap enough and they will more then likely be rooted and require replacement anyways. Or you can just get a replacement bush kit that allows for camber adjustment. I thought you'd get more then 1 deg on the rear? I adjust my rear to max neg to squeeze my wheels in and there was a huge difference in camber when fully adjusted. The usual problem is you cannot reduce the rear camber sufficiently after the car is lowered. There is not alot of adjustment stock. Ofcourse if it is all about fitment then it is completely irrelevent. In the same manner that proper handling and tyre life is completey irrelevent.
