yeah its my new drift car.

its got 10:1 CR

no decompression.

when it f**ks out a piston, ill slap a 3litre bottom end in with some cheap forged pistons.

it should last for a while, its got good oil pressure and its got mega amounts of fuel going in.

The highest I ran was around 8psi, with some decent cams and a highflow turbo I think I could have pushed it a bit further. Also another thing which will be a benefit is getting some colder spark plugs...7 range.

thanks again dan...just wondering would i b able to run psi of boost more safely with forged pistons n 660cc injectors n those 7 range spark plugs...and would it also kick in around that same sorta rev range?

thank you sooo much.

If you're going to lower the compression when you put the forged pistons in, then yes you can run more boost. Guessing at the size injectors you want to put in you'll want to be chasing >18psi anyway to make use of all the extra fuel

ok sweet all ill need is forged pistons, 660cc injectors n those spark plugs n i can run that amount of boost, thats awesome...will the boost still kick in early? wat injectors would u recommend just to be able to run to about 15-16 psi safely?

Well it's more of a case of compression, there is no way that you can expect anything more than 12psi even that's with awesome cams and a great tune. Most people will be running ~8psi on 10:1 comp.

Forged pistons will drop the compression to whatever you want, but it will turn the engine effectively into a normal 25DET really, so the boost will kick in as it normally would with no advantage of high compression.

If you want to keep the high compression, take advantage of it with one of Slides highflows, run 8psi on normal 370cc injectors. It'll have awesome low-down torque and fairly respectable power.

ive got a problem with controlling boost, its running up to around 0.8 bar which is more that i want. there is a bleed valve on the wastegate line but its fully closed, i think it may be still causing a boost increase so im gonna bin it.

boost is instantaneous. i still havent hooked up the NVCS so it falls over pretty bad, and the plugs are gapped at 1.1 so it breaks down slightly, but once i overcome these probs, it will be great.

the only hole you have to drill is for the sump return fitting.

the RB25de doesnt have a oil drain from the turbine so one must be welded into the sump (unless you wanna machine the block - FLAG)

otherwise it all bolts on NO WORRIES MATE

just bolt it all on man... its a no brainer.

if anyone is planning to do this, i have the stock R33 intercooler and piping for sale atm, for $80 ono. just pm me, its all in very good condition btw.

Don't be fooled gents. its not only the compression factor, but the piston itself, the N/a pistons are not Hyperputectic. therefore, even with low boost pressures, after a while you will melt a piston.

By all means, do this upgrade! turbo is 100% better effecient power, than most other mods. But do plan to change your pistons over in the near future.

    • Hi from Canada, Both of my calipers are starting to fail. My car is a 2005 M35 Stagea ARX and I can't seem to find any parts or any cross reference caliper that would fit my car. Is there a company or a similar caliper that would fit and I could replace the OEM one. Or if anyone knows where I can find a new OEM. Any help is very appreciated. Let me know!
    • Maf is a question mark but TPS  I have set at 0.47, the fact that I’m getting proper voltage range out of it with the key on leads me to believe it’s functioning properly. I’m getting proper voltages on basically everything. I still need to look up voltage ranges for z32 maf and test that
    • Honestly no not at all, but it’s a very basic tune, it’s stock injectors q45 tps and z32 maf. Other than that it’s a completely stock base map. The file is from nistune and from my understanding if it was tune related I would be able to unplug maf and tps and it would still start even if it was a really shitty start. I have tried starting it with coolant temp, maf, and tps unplugged none of those 3 togethor or individually changes anything

    • What does it look like with highway driving? And yes, I had a similar thought as Duncan. It looks quite similar in my Stagea and I have made myself accept it as normal. Might have to look into it some day   Highway gets as low as 10l/100km on my end so I'm not as worried about it being a mechanical issue. More likely just the tune on the haltech.
