ok. first check ur spark. and check the fuel flow. if you dont know how to check your spark ask some body who know it to do it for you. there are may way to check the spark.

if you got spark and fuel flow is ok. i may ask you to check your CAT. block cat caused not to start the car.

just one more thing, check your CAS bolts are loose. some times they may loosen. let me know how you go.

where you locate...?

yeah i no how to check for spark and fuel

gona check it out 2mrw..

and for cas bolts, already checked that...

ive checked spark plugs and they look good.

ive also checked fuses, and ther all fine too...

but a few ppl are tellin me it could be cas, fuel pump, ecu and earths..

how often do cas just become faulty? lol

so far its lookin like that..

hmm yeah mite check my cat.. but i hav aftermarket turbo-back and dump and exhaust..but still running same cat,, lol

Lol @ cat causing the car not to start, that's a pretty far out idea lol don't think that'll ever happen...

Bro answer our question properly, is the engine cranking over? You said it is then you say it's like you've got a flat battery? Huh?

CASs do go from time to time, old RB30s suffer from that badly, infact it's not a rarity in any RB...

Try uploading a video of it trying to start, cos from what you've described, it could be almost anything. And some info on the car would be nice lol, we can't tell you anything unless you give us details of the car. What mods, auto/manual, kms, aftermarket ecu or stock etc...

he said car stall while he driving. car crank over and no start Situation you must check cat. block cat wont start the car. it happen very hardly. but in this case more than 50% chace on cat. BLOCK CAT WANT START THE CAR. thats a true logic mate.

mate without doing basics dont mess your prob. just think abt this. for start the car you need, FUEL/AIR/COMPRESSION/SPARK and EXHAUST[CAT] just check one at a time.

without these 5 elements you wont start the car.

Bro, I've never heard of a blocked cat being the cause of a car not starting, on any car. It'd take a heap more than just a blown turbine wheel to black a cat significantly, that's the only thing I can think of that would block the cat up, there's simply nothing flowing through the engine to cause such a blockage.

That's why I asked for more info on the car. If he has a stock turbo there's a chance the turbine wheel has failed and some sorta ceramic dust has made it's way into the engine, or even the compressor wheel has sent shards into the engine, and he's lost compression in one or more cylinders.

IMO that's much more of a logical cause compared to a 'blocked cat'

And also, might wanna clean up your typing bro, your English is terrible. My brain hurts from trying to understand your posts dood

ok bro. you win. thanks for remind my english is terrible. i just try to share my experience with him.

but i have seen some cars with block cat, they never start. people fix them without change the cat.

hey dis mite be a stupid question but ive i tried starting my car again dis mornin.. it cranks over, adn did fire up once but stalled/cut out straight away...

umm but i one thing i did notice.. i cant hear my fuel pump priming...

this is my question..lol would u still hear ur fuel pump priming after trying to start it several times/alot of times??? lol

or yea.. :S

suss it out, fuel pump relay wiring..

in the boot der is a relay.. switch 3 to 5 and a coil from 1 to 2.

the switch is working fine..

but my signal wiring i believe from the ecu, which is 1 or 2 is not working..

so for a temporarily fix i installed a on/off toggle switch from 3 to 5 were the relay would be..

and car starts fine...

really random.. :D

lol

    • Welcome to Skyline ownership. Yes, it is entirely possible parts websites get things wrong. There's a whole world of inaccuracies out there when it comes to R34 stuff (and probably 33 and 32). Lots of things that are 'just bolt on, entirely interchangable' aren't. Even between S1 and S2 R34's. Yes they have a GTT item supposedly being 296mm. This is incorrect. I would call whoever you got them from and return them and let them know the GTT actually uses 310mm rotors. Depending on where you got them from your experience and success will obviously vary.
    • Hi...a bit a "development" on the brakes. I spoke to the guys where i get brakes from...and they are saying that 296mm EBC are for R34 GT-T. I then went to their site: https://www.ebcbrakes.com/vehicle/uk-row/NISSAN/Skyline (R34)/ and search for my car(R34 GT 1998 - it has GTT brakes) and it show me this USR1229 number and they are rly 296mm rotors... So now iam rly confused... The rotors i have now on the car are 310mm asi shown... So where is the problem? Does the whole EBC got it wrong or my calipers are just...idk know what?
    • Oh What the hell, I used to get a "are you sure you want to reply, this thread is XX months old" message. Maybe a software update remove that. My bad.
    • This is a recipe for disaster* Note: Disaster is relative. The thing that often gets lost in threads like this is what is considered acceptable poke and compromise between what one person considers 'good' looks and what someone else does. The quoted specs would sit absurdly outside the guards with the spacers mentioned and need  REALLY thin tyres and a LOT of camber AND rolling the guards to fit. Some people love this. Some people consider this a ruined car. One thing is for certain though, rolling the guards is pretty much mandatory for any 'good' fitment (of either variety). It is often the difference between any fitment remotely close to the guards. "Not to mention the rears were like a mm from hitting the coilovers." I have a question though - This spec is VERY close to what I was planning to buy relative to the inboard suspension - I have an offset measuring tool on the way to confirm it. When you say "like a mm" do you mean literally 1mm? Or 2mm? Cause that's enough clearance for me in the rear :p I actually found the more limiting factor ISNT the coilover but the actual suspension arms. Did you take a look at how close those were?
    • @GTSBoy yeah sorry i know thery are known for colors bud those DBA are too in colors 🙂 Green will be good enough for me
