Hey, I'm looking for someone with an R32 GTS-T that might be able to help me with some questions. I have a set of front knuckles and hubs off of a 4-door R32 Skyline GTS-T. I have the suspension for to fit it but I can't figure out where the suspension hooks up to. I think I'm probably missing a the upper links. I'm just not sure exactly what the GTS-T set-up looks like. If anyone can help me out with pics or something that'd be cool. If you can help me out with any of this, let me know. Thanks.

Hey, I went all over that site and couldn't find anything that gave me enough info. Found pictures of the actual suspension but not of the upper links, lower links...the knuckles...etc. do you have a gts-t? i was hoping to find someone with a gts-t who could take a picture for me or something. well, let me know. Thanks.

Hi Zushi this is the pricture of the front suspension on an R33 GTST from the Whiteline site. The only difference between it and R32 front suspension is the upper control arm. On the R33 it is a wishbone..

R33 GTST front suspension

The upper control arm on a R32 looks like this instead of a wishbone, This is an adjustable one, the standard item does not have the bolts and the slots, it is fixed in length.

Hope that helps some more

hey, thanks for the help. i can't really tell exactly what im missing though. the only pieces i have are the knuckles, hubs, and of course calipers. what im trying to do is convert my s13 silvia from 4 lug to 5 lug using the pieces i got off of a 4 door r32 skyline gts-t. the rear knuckles were a straight swap and pretty easy. the front though i need more pieces. just trying to figure out which pieces im missing. i know i need the upper link pieces that go from the knuckle to the suspension....right? will i need a lower link? if you can help me out with the info i need on this swap thatd be awesome. well, get back to me. Thanks.

Hi Zushi, why didn't you ask this in the first place?

An S13 has Machpherson struts, it is not double wishbone like a Skyline. (ie; they have no top arm). The shock absorber is the top arm on an S13.

To fit Skyline front brakes and hubs you remove the disc and rotor and the hub and fit it to the S13 strut. There is probably some trick with the wheels bearings. You don't use the Skyline upright at all.

If you need more info than that I suggest you try the Silvia forums they have more experience with what you are doing than a Skyline forum.

Hope you succeed.

No Zushi, all you use from the Skyline is the brake callipers, brake discs and hubs. All the rest of the Skyline bits won't fit a Silvia. You need the Silvia struts and lower control arm. There is no upper arm on Silvias.

The Silvia forum guys will have photos of Silvias with Skyline hubs, discs and callipers. Ask them.

    • The filter only filters down to a specific size. Add to that, the filter is AFTER the pump. So it means everything starts breaking your pump even if its being filtered out.
    • Just like in being 14mm too small (296mm) makes it not fit, being 14mm too big (324mm) it also won't fit. You want to find the correct rotor.
    • @GTSBoy Ok so that was the shops problem...they showed R33 rotors on R34 page and i did not know 296 do not fit(and are for R33) Yes i bought "kit" with rotors and pads. Pads are ok(i have GTT calipers front and rear). They have some 324mm but no 310mm. So i dont know if they would fit. I have 17inch LMGT4s So another question. Can i fit those in the rear or they are just "too" big for that?
    • I started removing the tank a while back with the intent to give it a proper clean. Got to a bolt that I couldn't undo completely due to a diff being in the way, so just said f**k it and siphoned the gluggy old fuel out and called it a day. Looking it the tank it looks less corroded than the one in the pics for that billet hanger from Frenchy's anyway. Isn't it the fuel filters job to worry about this stuff? I scraped off most the crusty shit of the hanger but will give it another go before reinstall coz maybe the fuel and return pipes are also full of gunk
    • Pretty sure it is a common fault. I believe this is the only part you need, but don't quote me as I don't have a V36.  I also believe it is a bit of a pain to change and the device needs to be encoded to the car once it is replaced, so may need someone with the right tools.
