ok well my mate wants to be picked up in bundall so yeah. will be heading there anyway

is there any other people interested in some sort of meet?

I think to start with a once a month meet would be alright, I can't make it every week if it's weekly, even fortnightly could be good?

I might be going out next week if you're keen coz this Luke guy is losing his license on the 6th so he's pretty keen to have a last cruise before losing it.

Maybe Tues night or Wednesday night?

Yeah sorry Jay haven't been able to get on , been tad bit stuck up north with the nice weather only got back last few days.

i would say fortnightly or even maybe every 3 weeks , just depends whos free when and how many really. and where/what we going to do.

  • 4 weeks later...
  • 3 weeks later...
  • 1 month later...

Sorry I haven't checked this in a while!

In the process of selling the 34..... :(

But I'll be getting a 32, just need the extra cash at the moment!

I might be out for a little bit still, I'll be back into it soon.

But feel free to start up a meet!

haven't seen any action in this thread for ages :D

good to know that someone is still trying to have some meetup for the gold coast.action-smiley-069.gif

so anyone in GC that got any plans?whistling.gif

Yeah it's been ages ay.

You have a 35 gtr?

Do you play for the Tugun Jets by any chance?

Might have to have a meet up before my 34 sells.

But as I said I'll be getting a 32 so I'll still be keen to meet up once I get some spare time.

Nah man, I don't play for the Tugun Jets...

Sure, let me know the date and time and if i'm free, we'll meet up for sure :D

All good, there's a young guy that owns a r35 that my brother plays with so thought it might be you.

Sweet, sounds good! I'll let you know for sure.

Hey gold coasters, Rightly or wrongly sauqld has a new executive to drive the club for the next 12 months.

Our policy is to make the club much more inclusive of those outside the greater Brisbane area, West to toowoomba, North to the sunny coast, and south to the goldy.

Sometime in the near future we will be organising a major club cruise to your area with a view to meeting as many of you as can make it.

In the meantime please keep an eye on the events section on the sauqld site as we are going to become very events active this year and would like to see you join in the fun.

As soon as I can arrange it I would like to pop down to one of your weekly meets to say hello and give you a brief outline of what would like to do over the coming 1 months. If this is acceptable to you just say the word and we'll hook up.

I would be very happy to hear any feedback or comments you may have on how it all takes place.

Have you already bought it?

Coz you should buy my 34 if you haven't, very cheap for a r34 gtt manual 2 door, only $14,990 :)

hey yer i have bought and i cant drive turbos in only on my Ps and i didnt have that much

    • @Haggerty this is your red flag. In MAP based ECU's the Manifold pressure X RPM calculation is how the engine knows it is actually...running/going through ANY load. You are confusing the term 'base map' with your base VE/Fuel table. When most people say 'base map' they mean the stock entire tune shipped with the ECU, hopefully aimed at a specific car/setup to use as a base for beginning to tune your specific car. Haltech has a lot of documentation (or at least they used to, I expect it to be better now). Read it voraciously.
    • I saw you mention this earlier and it raised a red flag, but I couldn't believe it was real. Yes, the vacuum signal should vary. It is the one and only load signal from the engine to the ECU, and it MUST vary. It is either not connected or is badly f**ked up in some way.
    • @Haggerty you still haven't answered my question.  Many things you are saying do not make sense for someone who can tune, yet I would not expect someone who cannot tune to be playing with the things in the ECU that you are.  This process would be a lot quicker to figure out if we can remove user error from the equation.
    • If as it's stalling, the fuel pressure rises, it's saying there's less vacuum in the intake manifold. This is pretty typical of an engine that is slowing down.   While typically is agree it sounds fuel related, it really sounds fuel/air mixture related. Since the whole system has been refurbished, including injectors, pump, etc, it's likely we've altered how well the system is delivering fuel. If someone before you has messed with the IACV because it needed fiddling with as the fuel system was dieing out, we need to readjust it back. Getting things back to factory spec everywhere, is what's going to help the entire system. So if it idles at 400rpm with no IACV, that needs raising. Getting factory air flow back to normal will help us get everything back in spec, and likely help chase down any other issues. Back on IACV, if the base idle (no IACV plugged in) is too far out, it's a lot harder for the ECU to control idle. The IACV duty cycle causes non linear variations in reality. When I've tuned the idle valves in the past, you need to keep it in a relatively narrow window on aftermarket ecus to stop them doing wild dances. It also means if your base idle is too low, the valve needs to open too much, and then the smallest % change ends up being a huge variation.
    • I guess one thing that might be wrong is the manifold pressure.  It is a constant -5.9 and never moves even under 100% throttle and load.  I would expect it to atleast go to 0 correct?  It's doing this with the OEM MAP as well as the ECU vacuum sensor. When trying to tune the base map under load the crosshairs only climb vertically with RPM, but always in the -5.9 column.
