mad082
sounds like you should take it to a mechanic. it could be one of many things. Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/339822-car-making-weird-noises/#findComment-5491754 Share on other sites
Mr.Massive
First thing I would check is the sump may have been something that may have cracked it. Does the noise sound like a loud tapping from the engine? You should buy a set of splitfire coilpacks or yellow jackets. Then get a mech to install it. If you are technically minded you can give it a go - it's not that hard - but just a pain in the butt - there are a few tutorials on this site and some from around the world. The other coilpacks will die out soon. It's a known issue with R34 GT/GTt once they are roughly 100,000km to 120,000km (don't trust your odometer - they are usually wound back to the circa of 60,000km to 70,000km). While you are at it you can clean your throttle body - spray some carby cleaner on a clean rag and wipe the sludge away. I would also hazard a guess it would be time to change your spark plugs too - They cost $14 each from Nissan (3 years ago). kazekage
Stock coilpacks are better then aftermarket ones. Unless you are ridiculously boosting your engine. Even then. And they are dead simple to put in. Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/339822-car-making-weird-noises/#findComment-5548642 Share on other sites
