I do believe that car is Victorian if im not mistaken, sounds very similar.

I remember the same coloured GTR, older fella - drove past our Show'n'Shine a few years ago and had a bit of a chat :P

pretty sure it's a sydney car. was sold in parramatta sydney, still with it's original owner, and now for sale again in sydney. would be a good buy in the $30K range somewhere but will most likely go higher. very nice to see with original books etc.

I think ash is going to sticky it.

Awesome, now i have to ring nissan up and find out what build no. mine is.

I do still have the oringal log book, but i cant see where the biuld no. should be.

Looks like the burgundy one was sold at Shannons auctions last night for $53,000.

Hi Guys,

I'll post a formal intro as soon as I can but I was the successful bidder on this car last night.

Pick her up tomorrow. >_<:laugh::(:banana:

Cheers,

Bob.

Gday Bob,

Congratulations on the purchase, you must be very happy! Its a beautiful car. Be sure to post the hsitory of the car in the Aussie GTR sticky at the top of this section.

How many bidders were there for your car? Big competition?

Cheers,

Ken

Mate, check the vin of the car and shoot me a pm with the last 5 digits, I will be able to tell you whether it was a first or second release and what build number (out of 100) it is.

Hi Ken,

Thanks for your kind words.

The bidding started at $40K with about 6 players........ By the time it got to $48K 3 had dropped out. At $50K it was between me and a phone bidder (interstate I think). At $52K he went up to $52,500. I bid $53K and he said no.

This is what I loved about the car.......... Every pink slip (Roadworthy) since 1995 with the original purchase documentation. Press kit and letter of congratulations from Nissan Australia.

Bob.

Looks like a really nice car Bob.

I was wanting to go to the auction just to see it but then realised on Tuesday I had missed it.

Anyway well done!

Ken I too will flick you a PM with the VIN if you could let us know the build number that would be great!

Not going to get change from 10k on a gearset installed.  $30k++ for sequential.   I know you run the risk of a damaged used one and parts are hard to get but as a street car gearbox its really hard to beat. If you enjoy a more traditional manual, its the choice no question.
